In an effort to reach Black and Latino communities that have been hard hit by the coronavirus but have lagged behind the rest of the state on vaccinations, Illinois on Friday launched a $10 million public awareness campaign to combat vaccine hesitancy.
The multimedia campaign was announced as the total number of vaccinations administered in Illinois passed 3 million, with more than 1 million residents now fully immunized with two shots.
Speaking outside Family Christian Health Center in south suburban Harvey, Gov. J.B. Pritzker framed vaccine education as an issue of equity, a notion he and other state officials have hammered repeatedly amid early distribution data that showed significant disparities between white and Black and Hispanic residents in vaccinations.

Can’t have it both ways: 1. Refuse to get the vaccine. 2. Whine and complain that racism is preventing minorities from getting the vaccine.
To do that they are going to have to hop in the DeLorean and fix Tuskegee..
I recall some high profile guy publicly getting vaccinated to encourage that community to not hesitate.
Seems he died of it shortly after.
My wife had her “female” doctor’s appointment this past week. His FIRST question was not about her health, but HAVE YOU TAKEN THE COVIT19 SHOT!!! She told him no, and he started getting on her about how are we going to stop this if people don’t get the shots. Then she tried to tell him a lot of what I and she had read on the Internet about bad things happening to people who took the shots. He claimed nothing bad was happening that it was all propaganda. He said my wife could be a “carrier” even when she didn’t have any of the symptoms. I was not in there with her or I would have blasted his sorry @$$. She has to go back tomorrow for a shot she gets yearly for bone thickness, Prolia or something like that. If any mouths get opened this time, I am going to show them the document that was sent to me by a friend concerning this crap.
