Yeah I lived in Ctrl FL for Andrew and took a trip down to Hallandale/N Miami right after Andrew and saw some things stuck into some other things. I was in the sign business and had to go look at a sign that needed replacing.

This is the native Palmetto tree, home of the palmetto bug aka 3-4" roach, that is when they don't decide to make your home their home. This is a large specimen.

Looks like as sabal palmetto. Used to go out and poke around in the saw palmetto. We’d go out and do eyeshines in the trees. Palmetto bugs would show up in those. A friend had one that lived in his ‘68 Camaro. We’d be driving down the road, and he’d say “There he is.” He was on top of the tape deck, and you could see his/her antennae in the glow from the tape deck lights.
