Texas and Mississippi followed Florida’s lead this week and announced they would lift key business restrictions and end statewide mask mandates, but many popular retailers plan to continue requiring customers to wear face coverings in their stores.

What about “Science” and effectiveness of masks to prevent Virus transmission?
As far as I know, not one, NOT ONE scientific paper indicates any form of mask is useful as a deterrent to Covid virus transmission. There are any number of scientific papers indicating they have proof that masks to not protect others from viruses...no matter the type of virus. These publications show up in every country that publishes such information.
Please look of scienfic proof of the efficacy of masks of any sort to prevent Covid 19 transmission. I would like to read anything you find.
By the way I see no people writing about this as having or being proud of having scientific degrees. That’s a shame...if they are like most of us with scientific degrees they are laughing much to hard to do much anyway.
Big Business is definitely NOT the right wing.
My red-haired daughter got into a rather warm discussion with a Menard’s employee today because the women insisted that my 3-year-old grandson wear a mask. He won’t keep it on, BTW. So, my daughter turned around and walked out.
Next step — ban those big chains from requiring masks. It’s getting so that executives of big companies are doing the bidding of big government.
I haven’t worn one in our Lake Jackson H-E-B for months, no problem. The last few times I went to the Costco in Pearland I made it through all the way with no mask except for the optometry and pharmacy. Yesterday I went in and apparently the Costco bosses decided to crack down. I asked the two black ladies who popped me, and I said just Costco being Costco, they both smiled and winked. Whatever.
I went to Academy, a grass store for sod, and a restaurant this morning in Arlington, TX, and never wore a mask. Nobody said a word about it.
Skool smarts ain’t so prevalent up herah. Ayah. :)
Nope. They don’t care anymore. So glad.
No, the purpose is to not piss of the Left as they will protest and call for boycotts.
Fairbanks has been pretty much back to normal for a while now. The last holdout was the communist teachers unions and school opening. But yes, all chain stores have a forced mask policy.
I am sure it is to protect themselves from lawsuits. Because lawyers suck and people are pathetic greedy SOB’s.
I will be interested to see if what businesses do with signs that say something like “masks required as per state and local ordinance.” I think the HEB sign says that, as does the Home Depot sign. If I see a sign like that after Wednesday, I will read that sign to mean masks are not required.
Probably doesn’t hurt that the lockdowns destroyed a lot of their competition from smaller businesses. Wouldn’t be surpised if they want to see it go around another year.
