Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) is grinding the gears of the Senate to a halt as it seeks to move forward with President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill.
It is just the latest step by Johnson, who is up for reelection in a state narrowly won by Biden, to burnish his Trump credentials, whether that’s by repeating unfounded theories about the Jan. 6 attack or becoming the face of GOP opposition to the coronavirus bill that is broadly popular even among Republicans.

I don't know much about Johnson and his track record. He a RINO or does he stand more with Trump?

He’s been pretty loyal to Trump

Given that this bill is set for at least 1 round of Amendments, let’s hope it is read in full after each revision.

Yeah, he is a “D” Liberty Score— firmly in the RINO camp (like all but about 3 of the worthless critters) BUT, he has found some balls apparently. Good for him.
“Balls. If you can keep them.”

Offhand. This sounds good to me.
“I’m trying to actually return the Senate to [a] more deliberative body when it relates to a $1.9 trillion spending package,” Johnson said. “All I’m trying to do is make this a more deliberative process.”

Just remember, they like to believe that writing like this is still “journalism.”

Rep. Johnson should go for the Trifecta and accuse Harris of election fraud for casting a tie-breaking vote in Congress because she is NOT a Natural Born Citizen. Harris cannot name her ‘... American citizen parents’ as John McCain could when the Senate looked at his qualifications for the office of President or VP. (Senate Resolution 511, 2007/8)

By serving on Committe on Homeland Security he has seen the beast, but Johnson doesn't have the fight to find and stab the soft belly. He stutters instead.
Watch Levin interview him.

How many of the Senators sit and listen to it?
Do you think the Senators have a little nap room in their offices for occasions like this?

A sign that we are in the Empire Stage of United States History, and have shed the Republic Stage. Like the Roman Republic.

A trillion here, a trillion there, pretty soon you are talking real money. An update from Everett Dirksen's comment years ago.
It's nice to think that somebody actually allows senators the opportunity to hear what they are spending money on.
Will it be read in Spanish for the senators who did not dial "1"?
