Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said that “there is no place for racist imagery” when asked to respond to the ongoing controversy about Dr. Seuss, whom the city has honored in the past.
The company that handles Dr. Seuss’s books withdrew six of his books from publication this week over concerns about early caricatures, and the left has been critical of Dr. Seuss for preaching racial tolerance without concern for “structural power imbalances.”

Who says what is or is not racist? Do we have to run everything by a board of blacks first? Is the first one to call racism the winner? Someone says you’re a racist, say no, you’re an idiot. Somehow it doesn’t matter what a white person says. Exult the noble savage.
The newest Seuss book, “Eric Boo Hoo plays his race card.”
How many times has Samuel Jackson said the N word in Hollywood Movies?
I’m done with the Democrats telling me what to think and who I can interact with.
It’s time for them to leave.
Oh, so all the Latin murals and gang graffiti covering LA are not racist?
Everyone would be so much better off if we didn’t know so g*d-damned much about “racism”.
How about a governor who wore black face?
God,he’s such a putz. No offense to putzes.
Well Mayor, what are you going to do about the Los Angeles Lakers Starting Lineup 2021. It seems to be made up of only one race!
The whole “systemic racism” movement is a desperate attempt to justify their continuing resentment; without it, if one questions why a racial group isn’t doing better in this free nation, the resentful questioners may have to look in the mirror for the answer. Meanwhile race relations are digressing. Every interaction by a white, straight male or unwoke straight, white female with a minority comes with an implicit Miranda Warning: “You have no right to remain silent and everything you say or have said can and will be used against you forever. Relate at your sole risk.”
This buffoon has far more pressing issues to deal with, namely the ever increasing number of homeless people turning his city into a giant toilet!
The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution.
Most normal Americans couldn’t personally associate with the difficulties of being conservative and academic, or being conservative and having a government career, or being conservative in the media, which is why the Left has been able to effectively take over all three.
The problem for the Left is that most normal Americans do personally associate with common cultural icons, from Uncle Ben, Aunt Jemima, and the Land O’Lakes Indian (yes, Indian, no one thinks of her as a Native American), to Barbie, Mr. Potato Head, and Dr. Seuss. The Left has crossed a bridge too far, and the blowback is going to require a true repression to stop it. I have no doubt the Left has the will to implement such a repression; the question now is whether it has the strength to impose it.
I have yet to hear anyone identify just what the imagery was that was supposed to be racist.
That was pretty funny.
Once again White Liberals decide for black people what is racist.
Jesse Jackson read Green Eggs and Ham on SNL.
