In reality, the question is rarely even asked, and then usuallly ONLY by people who question the automatic vaccination of people for this and that.
In turn, these people have been slimed, maligned, and ridiculed - even her on FR - for simply ASKING the question. To be fair, the questioners are usually anti-vaxxers and they are almost asking it rhetorically. But that doesn't negate the validity of the query, nor the importance of a robust discussion...getting vaccinated isn't axiomatic.

What is better, being vaccinated and end the chances of being a carrier or being unvaccinated and becoming a carrier to infect others? If you infected a 75 year old male, you would have a 2.779% chance of killing them if they had no pre-existing conditions. With pre-existing conditions, the chance of killing them goes up. Now, people are saying that those who have vaccinated also carry the virus. That is just a theory and has not been proven. I say their vaccination stops them from becoming a carrier. That is because the immune system attacks the virus's Protein Spike so it is unable to reproduce and be shed out of the respiratory track.
Answer: When people become so stupid they forget who they are and where they live.
I am with you on wearing a mask outside. The virus is suspended inside warm water droplets from your respiratory tract. Warm air as it cools, drops to the ground; carrying the water droplets. Nobody is going to go down on the ground and lick up the virus. The virus’s outer membrane does not last long on the ground; especially if it is stepped on.
How will they be able to tell?

My friends and I - in our 60s and 70s - have been gathering indoors without masks since....well, LONG before COVID. Just never stopped. Been going to church without masks. Doing fine.
This mask mania puzzles me, except as an example of government overweening and a human love for simplistic but wrong solutions.
It wasn’t that long ago that nobody cared what the CDC said about anything. Nobody.
