The real problem (well, not for us) here for the Dems is that in their rush to take down Cuomo, they are setting the template for other states to take down dem governors. In some of those states the legislatures are GOP controlled.
What about Wolf’s policies towards nursing homes. What about Whitmer or the clown in Wisconsin?
While I agree with all the points made in this column, does anyone else find it annoying that the author buried his point in the 2nd sentence of the 12th paragraph of a 14 paragraph article:
“The real reason for Cuomo’s coming fall are that power and ambition have seen weakness and smelled blood.”
I attended public schools in the 1970s, and even I know that you begin an essay with your theme statement and then support the point with evidence.

Much as Cuomo deserves and earned all of the current angst it’s the hypocrisy of Mayor Wilhelm’s pontificating and arrogant moral superior to blast away at NY’s Governor. This tall fraud did virtually nothing to help NY’ers with the Covid issue. His wife’s organization cannot account for the millions it received from taxpayers plus his painting BLM on streets and in front of Trump Towers. Take a hike Bill Blowhardio.
Maybe he had been starting to prepare for a Presidential run, discussing with consultants and donors, and that triggered a pre-emptive strike.
He is not the ChiCom/Soros candidate. The Team Soros AG in NY seems to be the one that initiated the purge, with the Nursing Home death accusation.
He has accumulated a lot of enemies, and has never been a very likeable human being. His political strength came much more from being useful or feared, than being loved.
I’m gonna keep an eye out for that guy.

It almost has to be. The timing is just too perfect.
The only reason the Dem-media is covering Coumo’s sexual harrassment scandal (after dutifully not covering the nursing home scandal) is to cover themselves from a major crime against a Republican constituency to a minor crime against their main constituency.
They are doing this to get a more liberal governor or it is to hide the covid death scandal.
