The three-day event is being held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in Florida...

Hyatt Hotels defended its decision to host the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday, at a time when the political climate has become increasingly volatile, citing its belief that individuals and organizations should be able to peacefully gather and express their own views.

The three-day event is being held at the Hyatt Regency Orlando in Florida, featuring a slew of prominent Republican speakers from lawmakers and former administration officials to President Donald Trump.

A spokesperson for Hyatt told FOX Business in an emailed statement that its primary goal was to provide a safe and inclusive environment for its colleagues, guests and customers.

“We take pride in operating a highly inclusive environment and we believe that the facilitation of gatherings is a central element of what we do as a hospitality company,” the spokesperson said. “We believe in the right of individuals and organizations to peacefully express their views, independent of the degree to which the perspectives of those hosting meetings and events at our hotels align with ours. Our own values support a culture that is characterized by empathy, respect and diversity of opinions and backgrounds, and we strive to bring this to light through what we do and how we engage with those in our care.”

...

the event could have a multimillion-dollar impact on the local area at a time when the broader U.S. economy is struggling to combat the devastating financial effects

speech is now a “crime”, and “unacceptable speech” must be silenced. thought crime isn’t far behind it.

detaining thought criminals isn’t very far behind that.

I've been a Marriott Rewards member for over a decade now. Titanium status.

I need to reconsider...

Ever notice that conservatives don’t bitch or complain about who’s hosting liberal events?

Crazy times when the ordinary is controversial.

I will in a heartbeat.

But only if Hyatt doesn’t require a muzzle.

I’ve noticed that the California GOP usually has its conventions at Hyatts, as well.

Hyatt felt the need to make a statement “clapping back” at a small minority of people who are not their customer base, because Hyatt provided a venue for an event. Insane. Glad Hyatt defended themselves, I guess.

Well. That’s surprising. Most major corporations are either total leftists or total wusses.

We’ve concentrated on Marriott for a couple of decades, too, and have a huge pile of points, way to many to throw away. It’s essentially part of our “retirement travel fund.”

No, “clap back” is now just a pop culture phrase that you see all over the place in print media. It is from a rap song of about 10 years ago and just means a comeback. But it’s entered the mainstream, for better or for worse.

Ever notice so many of the brainless lefty dweebs who think they have the right to dictate who a global hotel chain can rent to; are mostly layabout welfare bums who don’t have a pot to tinkle in, or a window to pitch it out?

The Left, of course, wishes to make the Hyatt feel political pressure/heat for hosting CPAC, as the Left doesn't believe in Conservatives' free speech rights.

The Left behaves out of how the Mockingbird Media, academia and Deep State government agencies have trained them to think and behave. Destroy their opposition!

I saw former "friends" from the Left starkly showing their Nazi rationale while cheering so-called alt-right straw man Richard Spencer being violently assaulted and struck down while simply standing on NY street corner.

They say and endorse that Spencer's so-called views deserve to be crushed because he supposedly a Nazi--like Hitler. The paradigm that apparently works for this shallow thinkers is that since the Nazis killed 6M+ jews, we should want to see "Nazis" like Spencer rubbed out before they can exact their fascism on American society.

Such is what motivates ANTIFA. What they "think" is that everyone should 1) wipe out Conservatives / racist White Nationalists / modern-day fascists. If someone doesn't like that idea, they must be a self-declared enemy that deserves nothing but removal from society (before we can infect the world further with our thinking, *cough, cough*).

If it's too late to change the Hyatt's mind this time around, they'll do whatever they can to make an example of them to other owners of venues where CPAC might choose to go in the future. They would of course cheer if CPAC couldn't find a venue next year. Thereafter, they would flex their authoritarian muscles further, expanding their initiatives to keep Conservatives from good-paying jobs in big business, media and academia while looking for opportunities to round up the objects of their hatred into segregated areas if not concentration/FEMA camps.

These Leftists are not encouraged nor do they show any initiative to think beyond the endorsed, media group think. Questioning authority is wrung out of them. An individual's conclusions are verboten.

"Cancel culture" is an apt term for them.

Which idiot at CPAC booked this event at a Hyatt? The Hyatt chain is owned by the Pritzker Family of Illinois. Circus Elephant JB Putzker is the disgraced Governor of Illinois, Sister Penny Pritzker is in the Obama inner circle.

Because of deals through Obama, Hyatt is the largest Hotel Chain in Red China. In 2020 Hyatt announced plans to build 50 more hotels across China. Location of one of the largest Hyatt Hotels in China? Wuhan!

It’s going to take more and more people to stand up and say “sorry, but NO” The only way to end cancel culture is to turn it back on the cancellers. People have to say, sorry you feel that way and we will miss you. If you change your mind and decide to espouse American values we will most certainly welcome you back.
