A statement from Kathryn Limbaugh and family said Rush Hudson Limbaugh III was honorably laid to rest Wednesday in St. Louis, with close immediate family in attendance. There will be additional celebrations of Rush's life to come both virtually and in his home town of Cape Girardeau, the statement said. It was later confirmed that Limbaugh was buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery, a historic cemetery in St. Louis where many other famous Missourians have been laid to rest.
Why not classy? Does the truth hurt you?
Judeo/Christian has always buried their dead. Jews and Muslims try to bury their dead within 24 hours. Only lately is cremation acceptable. In 5th grade we learned of funeral pyres, and were horrified. These days there is such disregard for the human body (abortion, letting old people die...)
It’s cheaper to cremate. We are polluting the earth with human remains/ashes. (are you certain that is your love one?)
If not classy is caring for the human body, call me unclassy.
Not classy was your remark about burning trash, and I think you know it.
With the funeral industry and all the regulations nowadays, burials are ridiculously expensive, so that many people cannot afford them even if they want to. With your remark, you insulted them and all who make the alternative choice for whatever reason.
I won’t put my loved ones through the expense, so have chosen cremation when my time comes. I was never “horrified” by the idea. I’ve even paid for it in advance. I don’t want anyone to keep my ashes, either.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with people’s traditions, or disregard for the human body (it’s dead!), and your pollution argument is just silly. We are dust, and to dust these bodies of ours will all return, no matter by what means they get there.
As for Rush Limbaugh, may he rest in peace, now that his talent has returned to God. I miss him greatly.
