President Joe Biden has been in office for a month, and it’s safe to say that his approach to the coronavirus pandemic is no improvement at all over the last administration’s. Biden came soaring into Washington with a bunch of extraordinary promises about how he would take Trump’s failed plan to defeat the virus and turn it into a winning strategy. Well, we’re not sure what happened to those promises, but who can possibly be impressed by what we’ve seen thus far?
In regards to getting schools opened back up, Biden’s message is so confusing, contradictory, and unscientific that he’s even beginning to get pushback from the liberal media! On CNN Wednesday, reporter Abby Phillip could hardly keep the disdain out of her voice when asked about the administration’s plans to get schools open for in-person learning.
“We’re hearing a lot of conflicting stuff from the White House, especially right now about when the vaccines will be widely available, what counts in terms of reopening schools,” CNN host Jake Tapper said. “What do you make so far of the messaging from the Biden administration?”
“Yeah, I think mixed messaging is a little bit of an understatement,” said Phillip. “There’s been a lot of doublespeak, but I think they’re in two categories. One, I think, probably has more to do with the uncertainty of the vaccine development process, of the uncertainty around the variants, and what that means for the timeline for when everyone might get vaccinated and when we might return to normal.
“But then there’s another category of things that seems to be just about politics, which is this idea that they can’t seem to just give a simple answer about what the science says about when schools should reopen, and what they might want from a political perspective before that happens,” she continued. “I think Jeffrey Zients, who you saw there, laid it out pretty clearly. It’s still puzzling to me why the vice president and the president won’t say this themselves, but the CDC guidelines say, it’s not a prerequisite to reopen schools, but the Biden administration very clearly wants for teachers to be prioritized. Both things can be true at the same time, they just for some reason, refuse to say it.”
Tapper noted that both Biden and Vice President Harris have been trying to push teachers to the front of the vaccine line, even though their own CDC has said that inoculation isn’t necessary for teachers to return to in-person instruction.
“Why is it so tough for the Biden administration to give a straight, clear answer on this issue of when schools should open and just the general issue of teachers’ safety versus opening schools?” Tapper asked.
“Yeah, I mean, I think that they are torn,” Phillip replied. “Look, the teachers’ unions are a very powerful democratic constituency. And they feel very strongly that teachers should, at the very least, all be vaccinated before returning to school. But that is clearly not what the CDC’s recommendations say. What is really puzzling to me is why the Biden administration, which ran on a campaign promise of having the science go first, and the science lead, can’t just simply state what the science says on the topic while also stating their preference for what they hope to happen.”
It doesn’t seem that puzzling to us. They are cowards, pure and simple. And this administration’s refusal to lead on this issue is an abdication of duty, period.

He has no idea what he’s doing other than to implement stupid ideas which have real consequences for real people.

The jackasses in government who make these stupid decisions can’t have it both ways. If I am a school teacher and I’m told that it’s too dangerous to eat indoors at a restaurant, go to a movie theater, or attend church services, then it’s not safe for me to be in a classroom, either. Period.

But Psaki "circled back"....tweeting to clarify her remarks to line up with Biden’s. “Last week I said POTUS goal was to open
schools five days a week as quickly as possible. And that we are going to rely on science. Which is exactly what we are doing.”

She's "cool" w/ looking stupid before the media.....then again, that comes from being a slavish Democrat.
And she doesnt give a fig about what the American public thinks.
That's because the fools in the biden administration haven't got a clue what science is, and the fools in the media don't either. 'Science' is not a monolithic god containing the ultimate wisdom. In reality, 'science' is a process of theories, and experiments to test the validity of the theories. It is dominated by skepticism. There is NEVER any ultimate truth.
Foolish politicians say "trust the science" but they are really saying "trust me", and then they say things that are not scientifically valid. It is no wonder that there is confusion. Political fools like biden, Harris, Fauci, Psachi, Tapper and more, pontificate, lie, and make conflicting statements. It's no wonder there is more fog than sunshine.
Where is the science of a disease that has a 99.7% survival rate.

Teachers unions in California are fighting tooth and nail to keep them closed and fighting for more money if they do open aka risk pay.
Biden id paying them back for their votes.

The clerk at Walmart is in far greater danger than a school teacher....makes less money too.
