President Joe Biden’s choice for attorney general, Merrick Garland, has pledged to supervise the prosecution of protesters who breached the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, according to a prepared opening statement for his confirmation hearing.
Garland’s hearing is scheduled to begin Feb. 22 and will extend over two days. The appellate court judge, who was best known for being nominated by President Barack Obama in 2016 to the Supreme Court, was tapped by Biden in early January to lead the Justice Department.
The judge is expected to tell the Senate Judiciary Committee that if confirmed, he would “supervise the prosecution of white supremacists and others who stormed the Capitol on January 6,” which he characterized as “a heinous attack that sought to disrupt a cornerstone of our democracy: the peaceful transfer of power to a newly elected government.”
He will stress his experience in “battling extremist attacks,” reminding lawmakers that he had supervised the prosecution of the perpetrators of the 1995 bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City, which killed 168 people, including many children.
Garland will also pledge to serve the rule of law and ensure equal justice under the law, according to his prepared remarks.
If confirmed, Garland will be required to oversee a number of politically sensitive cases, included an investigation into the taxes of Biden’s son Hunter Biden, as well as a probe into the origins of the 2016 counterintelligence investigation into Russia and former President Donald Trump’s campaign.
“If I am confirmed, serving as Attorney General will be the culmination of a career I have dedicated to ensuring that the laws of our country are fairly and faithfully enforced, and that the rights of all Americans are protected,” the judge is expected to say.
He also reiterated his commitment to remain independent from Biden,

I don’t know why Barr didn’t continue in his position. Barr, more than anyone else, is responsible for the illegal installation of the Biden Regime. I can’t recall, where were Barr’s DS payoffs coming from before he buried all coup evidence. Were his payoffs coming from K Street or a multi, multi million kickback from DS DC Shyster and partners, Esq. He can just send a truck for the bags of cash now.
I've been saying the same thing for some time now. Let them read your rights (if they do), and then say I want an attorney and don't SAY anything more. This also applies to local law enforcement. Just go to jail and bail out.
For those who don't understand, here is why: Both Fed agencies and Local Law try to encourage you into an "interview". They may say you're not under arrest and just trying to get the facts. They they question you many times from different agents/cops and if you say one word or phrase that doesn't gel with your previous statement - PERJURY.
Anyone who has ever watched a Cop or Fedgov movie/TV should know their entrapment techniques.
Don't try "I don't have any recollection" or "I don't recall" because they may have a witness/evidence they claim different in court. DON'T think you're safe with a Hillary excuse. Clam up and be respectful and cooperative.

There were never going to be many prosecutions in any case. The laws are too weak and those at FBI and DoJ have a great deal of latitude in conducting their work. Worst case maybe a couple up to the level of Strozk and McCabe might be charged, they’re disposable now and they’re probably the ones who did things that could be proven to be crimes. Many in the know have been saying for years now that 95% of what happened is not something a DC prosecutor would go after. They are too inside the swamp and getting a DC jury to convict anyone for screwing Trump would be next to impossible.

Democrats have bloodthirsty Eric Holder and the likes. We run away shrieking in abject fear.
No. He is going to prosecute any pro Trump folks he can identify as being in the Demonstration and use the Antifas who actually did damage as immunized witnesses for the prosecution. All the charged participants will likely be charged with felony murder for the woman who was ostensibly shot’s ostensible death.
