Every member of a school board in Northern California resigned on Friday after a video revealed they mocked parents during a virtual public meeting about reopening schools amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lisa Brizendine, president of the Oakley Union Elementary School District, resigned with members Kim Beede, Erica Ippolito and Richie Masadas, Fox News reported.
Schools Superintendent Greg Hetrick described the comments as 'truly inappropriate' and issued an apology on Thursday.
'Last night at the Oakley Union Elementary School District Regular Board Meeting there were unfortunate and truly inappropriate comments made that were heard by many. These comments are not typical and more importantly they are not what the community should expect from our school district,' he said.

They want only want.
Bump
“These comments are not typical”
Actually very typical of leftist unionist woke Board members.
Actually, they're just typically caught on tape.
Uh oh, guys, we have this video set to where the public can view it. No. That's what I was just told. Then it goes blank.
Thank goodness they were Dumba$$es. 8>P
Why would they hide their use of marijuana from their children? It’s harmless, we’re told...
Nice; the little people get a clear picture of how their “leaders” despise them.
This school shutdown in the NYC metro area seems to be a walking back of one of the most deeply ingrained “freebies” to which parents have become accustomed: Free babysitting (and in many cases, free breakfast AND lunch).
HAHAHA!
That was quick, I hope this starts a pattern at other districts. I think we need to get new school board members that will be responsive to parents, and not teachers. Teachers are employees I need to get back in the classroom or be fired.
This is what elected officials think of the voters in every office from school board on up.
They despise the very ones who put them in office, whom they pretend to care about so much.
All they are interested in is the power over others to control them. The idea of being a representative is lost on them. Instead they think that somehow they were entitled to this and are our overlords.
Bingo!
A mass resignation ensued: Lisa Brizendine, president of the Oakley Union Elementary School District, resigned
together with members Kim Beede, Erica Ippolito and Richie Masadas, who got caught on a live mic mocking parents.
is this not “educational”?
FINALLY!
The SHOCK on their faces as they realized their absolute contempt and hatred was being revealed- as if someone threw Holy Water in the devil’s face - was priceless.
“These comments are not typical”
That’s really funny. About ten years ago I helped a local politician compiling data from a survey he sent to everyone in his area. It was anonymous. The subject of the questions were broad. A couple had to do with careers, job satisfaction, comments, etc.
The teachers who responded were this disrespectful, and displayed incredible selfishness. Not even ONE mentioned the children. Every one was about the teachers themselves, such as “where else could you work so little and get paid well?” and “I only have to work a few months of the year”, “if parents weren’t so nosy it would be better” — similar responses from all.
I knew schools were bad, but I had no idea. Growing up, I got the impression my teachers gave a damn.
“This is what elected officials think of the voters in every office”
Liz Cheney? Marsha Blackburn? We’re good enough to send them to their new jobs, but not good enough to be fairly represented.
If these maggots believed WE were beaten and powerless THEY would keep laughing and never resign. THIS is why OUR voice must always be heard and citizenship is now a fulltime job. Let THEM know WE are watching every chance YOU get.
This district neighbors mine—this Sunday I’ll be sitting at a table in front of a Peet’s collecting recall signatures for BOTH the governor and my local school board. Timing couldn’t be better!
I saw the Oakley board meeting comments minutes after it happened live. Within 24 hours it had gone viral throughout CA, and within 48 hours to the Washington Post, Politico, Reason. . .and then they all resigned. It was fun watching that.
Good riddance!
