The White House medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci has described the turning point when he believes he no longer had influence over President Donald Trump.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph published Friday, Fauci opened up further on the dysfunction inside the Trump administration's response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Geez Louise. Now Fauci is trying to say Trump didn’t ever take his advice, and that he didn’t ever approve of actions taken by Trump?
As Warner Wolf used to say, let’s go to the videotape. It would be interesting to go back and see what Fauci said at different times during the virus crisis over the past year.
Start with when Fauci said that this virus was unlikely to be a problem for America. Then go the sound bite where he said masks were unnecessary. Then what about the time he said the Trump administration had done an excellent job, to paraphrase, that Trump had done all that could be done.

He lost the ability to influence President Trump when it became crystal clear that Fauci would say anything to keep his stupid face on television. The guy’s a media hound. He says a bunch of nonsense to anyone with a camera and takes zero responsibility for the impact those statements have. Should have been fired.
President Trump built the Operation Warp Speed program that delivered safe and effective vaccines faster than any other in the history of the world. It’s an epic accomplishment that will go down in history. And those vaccines are in the process of ending the pandemic. I don’t think anyone on Earth has done more to end the pandemic than President Trump.
Careful, Dr. Fauci. If you keep provoking the Bear, you are going to get pushback. Ask Mitch McConnell what that feels like.
