On CBS’s Magnum PI (S3 E8 February 12 2021), a twelve-year-old steals his father’s gun from a bedside table and accidentally shoots his ten-year-old brother. The message is parents should be afraid of guns in the home even if the parent is at home. But this again greatly exaggerates the dangers of guns in the home. In 2019, there were 37 accidental gun deaths for children under eleven years of age. Past research has shown that most of those involve shots from adult males, most in the mid to late 20s, who also have criminal records and are very likely to be drug addicts or alcoholics. So with 43.8 million children in that age range, the probability of a young child getting ahold of a gun and accidentally shooting another child is incredibly small. With half of American homes owning guns, that implies a probability of a child dying from an accidental gun shot in those homes of 0.00017%. If you try to look at the rate that a child gets a hold of a gun and accidentally shoots another child, you are talking about 0.000068%.

No mention of the gangbangers with guns outside though
It’s a terrible reboot, much like the redone Hawaii Five-O. The 6’4” Anglo has been replaced by a 5’8” Latin-ish guy. Higgins is a woman. The characters have zero chemistry, which was 90% of the original.
Just like the reboots of a Chuck-less “Walker” and “The Equalizer” (Queen Latifa?)
If it saves just one child....
All these woke reboots have bombed horribly. Most noticeably the particularly terrible Ghostbusters remake. I didn’t like Ghostbusters 2 much, but it’s a whole level beyond the 2016 garbage.
Yes I’ll pass on those two. Apparently enough people watch this crap to spawn even more of them. I can watch the originals over the air fortunately.
I actually didn’t like the original Ghostbusters as a teen. Definitely in the minority there.
What a nice collection!
The danger happens when parents refuse to teach their children basic NRA Eddie Eagle type firearm safety in a country with more weapons in civilian hands than any other in history.
They’d rather teach their children how to be sex objects for pedophiles.
Close. The actor portrays a heterosexual Magnum in the show. CBS uses the show to lecture viewers on the dangers of sodomy with multiple anonymous partners. /sarc
Just think, when shows like Gunsmoke, The Rebel, The Texan, Bonanza, and other westerns featured guns and shootings, there was that great deal less violence on the streets in the United States and Canada.
Don’t watch these crap shows....don’t feed the beast.

CBS Television Show Again Pushing The Dangers Of Leftists In The Home
From the article:
“On CBS’s Magnum PI (S3 E8 February 12 2021), a twelve-year-old steals his father’s gun from a bedside table and accidentally shoots his ten-year-old brother.
That’s an argument against leaving guns out where anyone can access them or an argument about teaching gun safety to children NOT an argument against guns in the home.
I watched “Last Man Standing” last night and was surprised that they blatantly, and not very believably, dragged in the myth that police are hot to arrest a black man for nothing. It was clumsy and was obviously something forced in as an after thought to be politically correct. The series will not be missed. The writers should review some episodes of “Home Improvement” to see what people like to watch.
CBS = SEE BULL S-—. The news, and now their shows...
