Howdy, beachie. *HUGZ*

I’m sure you’ve gone to bad by now. Sorry I missed ya. No Comcast all day and we just got it back a few minutes ago.

I hope all’s well up your way. Bet you’re as ready for spring as we are by now. :-)

Hey there, radu!

Did the bad stuff move out from your area yet? It snowed here today and never got over about 25. LOL! 16 right now, and yes, Li’l Bit is happily in her boudoir. :) Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 46. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Howdy, luvie.

It looks like the snow and sleet are finally outta here. A little blew through the state today but missed us. Most of what fell here last night is gone but there’s still an inch or so on the ground. Teens tonight and tomorrow night and we’ll be around the freezing mark tomorrow. 40s finally move in this weekend, then 50s next week, and we are ready!

I hope y’all get those mid 40s tomorrow. It’s been brutal there.

We are pretty darn tired of it, that’s for sure. As I am sure you guys are too. I like winter, but not ARCTIC winter. That’s a bridge [of ice] too far. We’re colder than Jackson Hole. Even my son was shocked at our situation here.

I hope you still have plenty of food and cat supplies so you don’t have to go out while it’s so bitter. I don’t know how Kathy stands it year after year. And for months on end!

Yeah, we’re tired of it too. I guess we’ll have one good thing out of it - - fewer bugs this summer. LOL

We had no tv or ‘net all day so I’m still catching up on things. When checking on the birds I saw that it’s 20 degrees in KS where Bonnie is. Great news for them since they’ve been in single digits for a few days.

We’re fine on cat food and stuff for a little while yet. The cold, I can deal with but with the snow melting slowly and the temps so cold the next 36 hours or so, ice will be a problem. Do not want to go out for that reason. Way too many hills between here and any stores. Come Saturday, it’ll be smooth sailing.

Kathy’s getting ready for a big cold hit. This stuff is going back up there now.

Stupid “vortex” is bouncing around like a ping-pong ball! I hope it doesn’t take another bounce down here.

My hubby got out today. He had to go to the dentist...broke a tooth. He made it back home, but I was a wreck till he got back. I guess the main roads had been cleared. I haven’t been anywhere since...gosh I can’t remember when now. LOL!

Sure hope it warms up before you have to make a litter/cat food run. That would not be fun on your road on the ice.

A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks Beach for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

I haven’t really seen a bounce. It came down and has been just sitting all week. Seeing the temp in KS as warm as it is compared to the past few days is heartening.

Glad your hubby was able to get to the dentist and back safely and has that tooth fixed. That couldn’t have felt good. ergh! Must have been pretty bad to make him get out on the slippery streets.

As I said earlier, we have plenty of food for all and from Sat. on it’ll be smooth sailing. I won’t need to shop for a while yet so it’s all good. We just look forward to being able to walk outside and not turn blue. LOL

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Did you finally get a break from shoveling snow? Any bright outlook in your forecast for being able to head back out to the lake? Gizmo must really miss his romps and rolls by now.

Indeed, turning blue is not a good thing. LOL! Did you lose any tree limbs, or did the ice not get that heavy? Were you able to get some more nice snow pics?

We only had one day where there was ice coating the trees, but even in the low temps it was gone by afternoon.

I think Li’l Bit will enjoy being out tomorrow. She really didn’t want to go out today, but she needed to. I fear she’s getting spoiled, but it’s really not fair for her to have to stay closed up like she is.

We didn't have ice here but there was ice in neighboring towns that took tree limbs down and knocked out power. The only thing knocked out here was Comcast all day today. No telling what that was about. It went out for an hour or so yesterday too.

I'd say Li'l Bit has enjoyed being able to stay warm at night but it has to be boring. She'll be glad to be able to do her nocturnal wanderings again and not have frost-bitten toes. :-)

I did take other pix last night and here are a couple. The first is one I took of a cedar tree with snow coating it during my 9:00 walk-around. The second was from the front porch at 10:00 as the snow changed to rain. That was our maximum snow. Not quite deep enough to cover the cotton stubble in the field. It wasn't nearly that bright outside. The camera has a nice low-lighting setting.

Well, it’s late, so I’d best be heading out. See ya for tunes tomorrow. I wonder if some of our frozen tundra will melt. I hope so!

Glad you liked them.
I really enjoy having that open view. At the other house, Clara had the south view from her windows and we were stuck in the back half of the house. Not much to see from our windows.
