As a US Senator he has a lot of influence at the state and federal level (FEMA?). I respectfully disagree. God bless.

Biden hasn’t even given them FEMA help. Cruz should be trying to do something about that.

What, specifically, do you think he could do? Shovel snow? Fix water pipes?

He isn’t the Governor. He isn’t a mayor. He isn’t a member of the state legislature. His job is to vote on legislation in Washington.

If he left Texas and went to DC would that be equally bad, less bad or more bad than going to Mexico?

Can’t you understand the difference between going to DC and trying to help his state and going on vacation?

I’m so sick of the hatred for Cruz here. Spoiled children throwing a tantrum because Cruz said something bad about Trump.
Grow up get over it children. Name another Republican/conservative who is willing to defend the constitution before the Supreme Court. Name one capable of doing it.
Do you children not understand we need every ally we can get?! STFU.
And for the “he’s not a citizen” crowd. Stop it. Nobody on earth can adhere to the FR Purity Board. Except the children impose it.

Obviously this is bad optics, but my disagreement is that why are we looking to Senator’s to “fix” this? It seems to me that the utilities, the state utility board, and Governor are all far more responsible and better positioned to work the problem than a Senator.

Calling Cruz irrelevant is a defense that will bite him in the arse. He can show he cares by meeting with the Governor and offering any support he can to the people.

He could be working with and coordinating FEMA efforts, as a start.

This was another self-inflicted Cruz wound.

There is a tweet 44 minutes ago from Biden saying he has approved FEMA help.

I don’t see Cornyn anywhere, he’ll be the next one in line on the chopping block. Not many understand how big this is and will be for months. We were already hit hard, this is just kicking the chair out from under us in a sense.

Well you’re on the Internet so I think you’re right in there with the Commies.

Btw, cancel your VISA card, Apple or Android devices, ATT, Verizon, your grocery store and pharmacy, cars, clothing manufacturers and...

Do you get the point? Selective snark is unbecoming but moreover you’re a little hypocritical don’t you think?

DM saying you have to have a negative COVID test before you can enter back into the US

This will be a mind blow if he tests positive and cant get back in.

This was a risk he took leaving the country.

It is stunning to see the repeated displayed confusion over the role of an executive officer of a state or city vs a US Senator. Did everyone fail 3rd grade civic class?

It is also problematic that people don’t understand what power a Senator actually has, which is very little.

....Of course he throws in that Trump impeaches Biden

How about a doubleheader? Biden out but is impeached while out of office as Harris is also being impeached.

They can take their outrage and stuff it. If Cruz can get warm by fleeing the consequences of environmental extremist power generation policy, more power to him. And his presence in the state would do nothing to help. It’s the environmental extremists who should stay there and face the consequences of their ridiculous policies.
