Former Sen. David Perdue filed paperwork Monday to run against Sen. Raphael Warnock in 2022, after Democratic challenger Jon Ossoff narrowly defeated him in Georgia’s January runoff elections. Former Senator David Perdue at Georgia runoffs rally Senator David Perdue speaks at a campaign event on December 17, 2020 in Columbus, Georgia.
Perdue’s paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission notes his candidacy in the Senate race, and designated his political committee Perdue for Senate to be used for the 2022 election cycle. Anonymous sources close to Perdue told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution the ex-senator had not made a final decision on whether or not to run, but is “leaning heavily towards it” and will likely make up his mind in the coming weeks.
Perdue’s former Senate seat won’t come up for reelection until 2026, but Warnock will run again in 2022 because he was elected to only finish out the term of former Sen. Johnny Isakson, who resigned in 2019 due to health concerns.
The Journal-Constitution reports Kelly Loeffler has considered running again against Warnock after he defeated her in January, as well as former Rep. Doug Collins, who also ran for Warnock’s Senate seat but did not make the runoffs. Perdue’s campaign sent a text message to supporters Monday night asking for donations and saying he was “considering” a 2022 Senate run.

Now there’s a fresh face that ought to excite the electorate.
The corruption is deep in georgia, republicans don’t stand a chance without some election reform.
Perdue wouldn’t call for Kemp to have a special session of the GA Legislature. He was saying it would be great to work with Biden.
No
Would someone please explain to me what mechanism(s) are used to send in ballots whereby Trump is defeated, but down ballot Republicans win their racesin a number of states with a variety of voting systems. It just does not make sense.
Don’t think about it too much or you’ll come to the conclusion that something ain’t kosher.
National institutionalized vote fraud. Right now I’m thinking Secretaries of State offices just fabricating numbers to offset the Trump votes, and the irregularities and illegalities handling ballots was all a decoy operation.
I like Doug Collins but I always had serious doubts about whether he could win a statewide election in Georgia.
If the Voting Rolls are not cleaned up democrats get to pick who wins
What’s that about a dog returning to its own vomit?
Establishment strategy: get the sheeple base arguing over potential candidates to distract from important present issues
>>The idiot Perdue refused to debate Warnock, which is why I think he lost
Why would Purdue debate Warnock when he was facing Ossoff in the election?
It won’t work until we rid ourselves of mass mail in voting. That needs to be done first.
Perdue is no fighter. GA can do better.
So has election integrity been restored?
Will my vote really count?
No kidding.
I voted for Perdue, even though the same fraud that cheated Trump, cheated him. He easily won on 11/3.
The same fraud was perpetrated again and he lost, no big surprise.
He didn’t fight. He didn’t stand up against fraud. He didn’t stand up for himself or Trump.
I will take a fighter, thank you.
By the way, every Republican that fought against voter fraud in GA has been relieved of their committee positions. Every level in our state government is corrupt... and I see no signs of voter fraud being remedied here as of yet.
Don’t put the cart before the horse...
Let’s see what Dominion decides.
Fraud 2.0. Stacey Abrams will NOT be denied. And Warnock will benefit from Abram’s fraud machine yet again.
David Perdue was a terrible senator. He cosponsored a red flag gun law With Michael Bloomberg for God’s sake. He voted with the Democrats 48% of the time. Thank God he’s gone! And Loeffler too. If we ever really get to vote again we need Doug Collins and maybe Matt Gurtler.
You are correct. It was Ossoff that Perdue refused to debate - A fatal error.
