A group of Asian-American activists are patrolling areas in Oakland, California in hopes of stopping violent attacks on elderly neighbors. The group, called Asians with Attitude, are reportedly looking to protect Oakland’s Chinatown.
The group has been letting small business owners and other community members know they will have a presence in the community. This comes amid a recent surge in violence targeting elderly Asian residents.

In the recent incidents in the Bay Area and one recent horrific incident in the Midwest, the perpetrators have all been black. The media narrative is that Trump’s correct identification of China as the source of the Wuhan virus has somehow inspired young black (and only young blacks) to target Asians for attacks.

That happened in my area, but it wasn’t Asians getting targeted by blacks, it was Hispanics. In the local primary school a group of black boys were demanding the hispanic boys pay them $25 a week or they would get beat up. This went on for about a month and a half until one boy didn’t have the money and cried not wanting to go to school. His dad called the ESOL teacher at the school to find out what was going on (they trusted her). She got to the bottom of it and told the boy’s dad what had happened. She reported it to administration, who wouldn’t punish the black boys for extortion (this was during Obama’s reign so that explains it). The parents of the hispanic boys were notified of this as well and took matters into their own hands. One trip into the PJs and the problem was solved. Most of the money was returned to the boys as well.
