Well, at least they were wearing masks, not wearing a mask is a far worse crime than home invasion.
The cops try to protect the kid and Grandma by not releasing names, so the news crew provide a picture of a house in the neighborhood......

Yeah. The chances of a home invasion is extremely low if you don’t live in a bad area or associate with criminals. The only home invasion I have to worry about is a bear might break into my house. But I’m ready. I’d like a bear rug in my family room.

That sure looks like a complicated gun for a young lady, a responsible parent might consider an S&W M&P .45.

Why do they say “allegedly”? The kid didn’t commit any crime. They are suggesting to us that he DID. That’s why.

It’s a good thing the 73-year-old was a woman. If it had been a man they would’ve wanted to charge him with child-abuse for the kid knowing how to shoot.
I don't think I need a picture for this one, but how about the 73-year-old woman?
I’d just throw the perps carcass in the trashbin where it belongs.
Bear Removal Service
A man in northern Minnesota woke up one morning to find a bear on the roof of his cabin. He looked in the Yellow Pages, and sure enough, there was an ad for “Up North Bear Removers.”
He called the number listed and the bear remover said he’d be over within an hour. The bear remover arrived and got out of his van. He had a ladder, a baseball bat, a 12 gauge shotgun, and a mean looking, heavily scarred old pit bull.
“What are you going to do?” the homeowner asked.
“I’m going to put the ladder up against the roof, then I’m going to go up there, and knock the bear off the roof with the baseball bat. When the bear falls off the roof, the pit bull is trained to grab his testicles, and not let go. The bear will then be subdued enough for me to put him in the cage in the back of the van.”
He then handed the shotgun to the homeowner.
“What’s the shotgun for?” the homeowner asked.
“If the bear knocks me off the roof, shoot the dog.”
Good. Too bad the perp lived. The ultimate consequence needs to be dealt out more often to discourage would-be perps from becoming miscreants in the first place.
The only downside is that a poor child has to deal with the mental and emotional aspects of having to shoot another human. I feel for that child.
I think a Circuit Judge would be a better choice for her.
I think the only long-term issue will be regret that he didn’t kill both of them when he had the chance.
