The author of a tweet introduced by Democrats at the Senate impeachment trial said Thursday her statement "we are bringing the Calvary" was a clear reference to a prayer vigil organized by churchgoers supporting Trump and not a call for military-like violence at the Capitol riot as portrayed by Rep. Eric Swalwell.
Lawrence also said she believes the California Democrat and House impeachment manager falsified her tweet, adding a blue check mark to the version he introduced at the trial suggesting she was a verified Twitter user with more clout when in fact her Twitter account never had a blue check and has never been verified.
"I noticed when they put my tweet on the screen that all of a sudden my tweet had a blue checkmark next to it," she said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "... This way, if he entered that into congressional testimony, it's a verified account, and it has, it could be applicable in law. Secondly, he wanted to show that my Twitter account had more gravitas than it actually did. He wanted to show that the president was trying to use me to bring in the cavalry."
A check of Lawrence's Twitter account shows she does not have a blue check verification. Swalwell's version of her tweet introduced at the trial did.
Swalwell's office did not immediately return a call Thursday seeking reaction.
Lawrence, a Christian conservative activist and former Breitbart writer, said her tweet on Jan. 3 carefully chose the religious word "Calvary" — which means a public display of Christ's crucifixion — as a reference to a prayer vigil they were hosting in Washington, and Swalwell distorted it to convey she was organizing a military cavalry, which is spelled differently and means a military brigade on horses.

There was a time not too long ago when spies were arrested and put in prison or worse...
Well, if the prosecution lies during the trial, the trial gets dismissed, right?
It shows the total ignorance of God’s word in the minds of most people, especially Democrats.
They thought she misspelled Cavalry because they probably have never heard the word Calvary.
Assuming they didn’t just photoshop the whole thing.
The Democrats are sure lucky that falsifying evidence and lying during a trial isn’t illegal. If it were, I imagine they could be in trouble.

No, they’re Democrats. They are immune to all laws and legalities.
Being a Democrat means never having to say you’re sorry.
They don’t nothing about the Bible and Calvary.
We know how spellcheeck works.
ok, let’s say she did mean to say cavalry.
It’s obvious that that she didn’t do that because there were NO HORSES at the capital.
Show me a photo with one live horse.
Just one.
Even a horse’s head will do.
Did Shifty face any penalty for completely fabricating the phone call Trump has with the Ukraine?
They know exactly what lies they can get away with.
delete the middle “that”.
ok
Maybe it’s a dumb question, but how can an group of people adept enough to openly steal an election, sit in judgement of the person who has challenged their election fraud?
Good Lord the nation is insane. The ridiculous, illegal and unconstitutional conviction of a past president now depends on whether the “c” in “cavalry” was capitalized and a falsified “blue check.”
I can’t take this crap any longer.
Silly you. Try “judge, jury and executioner.”
What?
They knowingly lied. Such is their hate and outrage, they thought no one would notice, and if they did, would care.
I can imagine this being brought before the whole Senate, and the democrat senators just laughing and saying,
“It doesn’t matter. We’re still going to vote in block to convict. NOTHING you can say will change our minds. They’re already made up.”
When I first read it I thought she either misspelled it or was possibly tryin to make a reference. Usually people misspell it.
Of course the Dems are completely clueless.
It's not that they thought no one would notice. They know very well that we notice. They are mocking us because they think we are powerless to stop their show trial.
They aren't even pretending to do their jobs any more. They're too busy setting an example and letting us know that their power over us cannot be challenged.
Next, forced labor camps.
To me, she was playing on the word, by saying “bringing the Calvary”. She purposely inserted the word Calvary in place of the word cavalry to say we are bringing prayer and obedience to God, specifically NOT force or violence.
See: Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
She should have said Golgotha instead of Calvary.
Even if she had misspelled “cavalry”, any sane person would have taken it as a metaphor for generally providing support, not as a threat of attack by armed people on horseback.
