President Biden is seeking resignations from all of President Trump’s U.S. Attorneys with the exception of John Durham and David Weiss. The move will pave the way for the former veep to choose the nation’s top federal prosecutors.
“The requests will affect 56 Senate-confirmed U.S. attorneys appointed by Trump. Many of Trump’s appointees already resigned,” The Week notes.
However, David Weiss, the U.S. attorney in Delaware will continue to oversee a tax investigation of Hunter Biden and U.S. Attorney John Durham will keep his position as special counsel investigating the origins of the Trump-Russian investigation while resigning as U.S. attorney for Connecticut.
Because we know Durham is coming back with reports that the DOJ is squeaky clean, and Hunter is a good guy.
Remember when the press screamed bloody murder when Trump even hinted at it?
This isn’t a pillow fight. (Durham is in the bag, with Stiff Sessions, Barr, Wray, etc.)
Obama did the same thing. This is SOP for Democrats - clear out the entire house. Unfortunately it complies with the constitution as they are all political appointees.
It should have happened when Trump came in as well. Problem is where were any honest people to take the jobs?
