Over the weekend, I met with a couple of Mexican friends passing through Dallas. They were on their way to visit their daughter in Houston.
To say the least, they painted a dire picture of COVID in Mexico, from access to the vaccine to hospital beds.
It confirmed something that I read at Mexico Pulse News last week:
Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi) reported on Wednesday, Jan. 27, that 44.9 percent more people died of covid-related issues from January through August of 2020 than initially reported by the Mexican government, adding another layer of discord to the nation's dismal handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
The government previously reported that deaths during the first seven months of the pandemic reached a total of 75,017, while Inegi now says the real figure for that time period was 108,658 deaths.
Inegi's report also disclosed that Mexico's mortality rate had increased by 37.9 percent since coronavirus found its way into the country at the start of last year.
Edgar Vielma Orozco, the general director of socio-demographic statistics at Inegi, said that more than 58 percent of covid-related deaths occurred outside of hospitals, hence the mismatch in numbers between the Inegi and the federal government.
In short, it's a mess in many ways south of the border.

People in poor health tend to have problems with viruses. Mexico doesn’t strike me as a country with great healthcare and medical treatment.
And Biden has re-instated the catch and release program into the U.S., the one Trump put an end to.
This will further spread the virus and any other diseases illegals are bringing up with them, such as TB.
Good job Biden voters! (and yes, I am well aware the election was stolen, but still, as Rush pointed out, tens of millions of people still voted willingly for this disaster).
People are even more likely to be obese in Mexico than the US.

I have been saying it since it started it’s the elites plan to get rid of the old and sick to shore up the near bankrupt Social security and pension plans in nearly every country around the world.
And what happens when the millions of these filthy diseased illegals from countries with no control of COVID and other diseases swarm over our borders, invited by JoeHo, and infect millions of Americans? Racking up untold millions of dollars for American citizens’ medical care as well as that of this human trash? I guess all that misery and all that money is worth it to the soulless minions of Satan masquerading as human members of the Dimmocommie party so they can collect more D votes. It’s all about votes. No caring about America required.

“Dismal handling”? It’s called poverty.
People get addicted to doom and gloom. There has been no finer example in my lifetime than this never ending “pandemic”. Every morning people wake up wondering/ hoping/ dreading/ take your pick that they will or will not get the virus. We have a virus that around 90% of people need a test to realize they either have it or had it. We live in the part of Washington that was the first "hot spot" in the country. We have numerous friends and relatives who have now had tests that confirmed that they had it and multiple times more who suspect that they had it. Yet the only two people we know who had serious cases of pneumonia tested negative for Covid multiple times. One of them died and was counted as a "presumptive" covid case despite the negative tests. That is the way the numbers are tabulated these days.
It would seem from this breathless article that Mexico is starting to figure out how to use the same accounting tricks that authorities here have so successfully employed. This is not what I am hearing from friends and relatives who travel to Mexico frequently. I have two cousins and their spouses currently residing in their condos in Mexico.
The reason they chose to go down there was to get away from all of the nonsense that we still have going on up here. And they are having the time of their lives. And guess what? Despite the never ending hype on this from the doom and gloomers, there are no restrictions where they are at and life appears by all measures to be going on in a completely normal way.
This article is nothing but pure unadulterated BS. What is becoming of American Thinker?
Biden’s decision to open our borders and halt construction of the border wall is not incompetence. Incompetence suggests the person is not equipped to perform the task assigned. Biden and his minions know exactly what they are doing on immigration and the impact it will have on our country and way of life. They are executing the plan with speed and efficiency.

Well, with the Schools shut down all those Trump hating Suburban Soccer Mom’s won’t have to worry about their Kid sitting next an Illegal Invader’s Kid who might have Leprosy, Polio or any other shithole Country communicable disease.
