Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has insisted people should continue to adhere to stringent public health measures even after getting vaccinated, said the Chinese coronavirus will remain a threat, which is why officials need to ultimately get the “entire world vaccinated.”
Speaking to NPR’s Fresh Air, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director emphasized that getting the majority of the population vaccinated remains a key objective in the battle against the virus. At the same time, officials must “double down on the public health measures of uniform wearing of masks, physical distancing, avoiding congregate settings — particularly indoors.”
ut such drastic measures, he said, should also extend globally.
“You’ve got to be able to get — with the help of the developed world — the entire world vaccinated,” he said, according to NPR.
“As we allow this infection to exist to any degree in any part of the world, it will always be a threat. So we’ve got to approach this the way we approach smallpox, the way we approach polio, and the way we approach measles and other devastating global outbreaks,” he continued.
Fauci has said that 70-85 percent of the population in the U.S. should be vaccinated before officials begin pulling back public health measures. He also believes that people should still wear masks, even after being vaccinated, telling Fox News’s Dana Perino this week:

Believe me, even with dozens of expat & local medical personnel, it is difficult to get a majority of a population vaccinated, even with a helicopter dedicated to assisting the program.

One cannot eradicate a virus.... not ever. There will always— always be remnants that may “bloom” up. This fraudster dug in deep with Big Pharma... Dr. Fauscisti— is driving to an impossible outcome by forcing vaccination that may at best be simply aggravating and spreading the virus on it’s own.
A fanatic and grossly wrong liar of the first order— saying many things... all to scare people from what normal hygeine and natural prevention supplements can hold at bay the same way large numbers of people avoid any other coronavirus.
He’s hyping this virus like it was a truly deadly thing from a mortality point of view. It is not. Ebola, and AIDs—well they are, and this huckster incompetent has done little to anything to stop them. Tuberculosis is on the rise also. Flying in airliners filled with potential spreaders with or without a mask-— will get people infected, through the surface of the eyes, for one.
So, herd immunity is the only real answer— the iterations of the virus, simply die off and fade away.
