New Poll Shows GOP Could Lose Tons of Supporters...to a New Trump-Led Party

Voting for Donald Trump’s impeachment and keeping the people in leadership positions who supported this recent impeachment push is going to drive the GOP base mad. It already has. I will not be shocked if Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) faces a serious primary challenge in 2022. While there were reports that at least half of the House GOP caucus wanted her gone, she remained, handily winning a secret ballot vote. It’s a classic case of all talk, no action. Saying one thing but doing another. I know, that’s a hallmark characteristic of American politics, but people have had it. It’s given in to the populist swell within the GOP. And with Trump gone, there is a fear that a new party could emerge. Now, Trump’s political team has disavowed the formation of this “patriot party.” But that’s not the same thing as Trump himself saying he has done so. GOP leadership should be watching. Their base is getting restless with these betrayals, one of the biggest being the failed repeal of Obamacare. For ten years, that was a promise — and nothing happened. No wonder why a new poll shows that a whopping 64 percent of Republicans would jump ship for a Trump-led political party. Oh, and the former president would get a sizeable chunk of Democrats too (via The Hill):

A majority of Republican voters said if former President Trump were to start a new political party they would likely join, a new Hill-HarrisX poll finds.

Sixty-four percent of registered Republican voters in the Jan. 28-29 survey said they'd join a new political party led by the former president, including 32 percent who said they would very likely join.

By contrast, 36 percent of Republican respondents said they are either very or somewhat unlikely to join.

I tore up my Voter Registration card and sent a letter to Ronna McDaniels telling her to ESAD.

Republicans will be back, there is always another election.

No, they won't. Big Tech will keep them from getting out their message and the Dominion voting company will keep the Democrats from being voted out.

>>> The new Trump-led party is the Republican Party.

NO... There is no comeback for Trump if he just walked away.

No justice... No freedom. If Biden stands, America has fallen.

This is just the beginning of Trump’s 2nd term, or it is ALL OVER.

Your beloved Party has NOTHING to offer other than we’re not Democrats to get my vote. Your party is not America first but a party of collaboration, globalism, graft, corruption, broken promises and liars. I voted for your Party for 40 years and Reagan and Trump actually wanted my vote and me in the party and gave a damn about the country and the average American.

Keep your beloved party of America hating elitist snobs and losers. Until you have something to offer you and the country are screwed.

AMEN!

That right! The GOP will never be able to win again so what is the fear of establishing a new party all about? I think a majority of Americans, including a large number of democrats who are as fed up with the new commie democrat party as we are with the RINO party. We need a “Common Sense Party” which the name alone would bar the majority of current office holders who have zero common sense. We have got to be brave and make bold decisions if we hope to save this country. Just dismissing things like a third party or secession of states will doom us. Something MUST CHANGE!

Democrats couldn’t be happier. Having 3 candidates on the ballot doesn’t sound positive to me. Oh well. We did have a shot at the house. Oops.

It will be so awesome having 300 democrats to 35 patriots in the house. GOP is dead at least.

So you have no way of advancing conservatism as you can’t even vote in the primary. You all are a trip.

If you would have asked me a year ago how I feel about staying home on election day or perhaps voting third-party I would’ve told you

NO!!

But obviously now things have changed drastically. It really doesn’t make any sense to vote for Republicans as they are mostly part of the Uniparty. And even though voting for a third-party usually benefits Democrats, it really, in the long run, makes no difference.

Most Republicans like Cheney, Mitt, McConnell, etc. are worse than useless. And besides, the Democrats have a lock on how to steal elections and that’s not going to change.

I’m going to focus on local and state elections. Thankfully I live in Texas and we are reasonably sane here. Except of course for Austin.
