President Joe Biden sounded a dark note on the future of the economy Friday, after a bleak jobs report came out.
The United States economy added 49,000 jobs in December with only 6,000 jobs in the private sector, according to the latest report released Friday morning.
“At that rate, it’s going to take ten years to get back to full employment,” Biden said. “That’s not hyperbole, that’s a fact.”
The president spoke while meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats in the Oval Office to discuss his $1.9 trillion coronavirus spending plan.

I don’t remember Biden campaigning on the idea that it will take ten years to get back to full employment, that we will have to retain our Covid-19 protocols even after everyone is vaccinated, and that biological males should be allowed in girls’ locker rooms.
Me neither—I can’t recall any of that...
These people have no intention of bringing jobs back. Ten years is just the lie to pretend they're working on it.
Once again the Democrats only know how to manage a decline. This was the same with Obama. The recover during his reign was anemic. Beijing Biden seems to be actively cheering on a slumping economy. China must be very happy.
True, and so sad that Biden has done everything to quash all of President Trump's accomplishments. If the election had not been fraudulent, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
The virus will be around to some degree for at least another 10,000 years, so I guess we should just sit down in the street and wait to die.

Trump did it in three, and Creepy Joe is undoing all of the tax incentives and regulation reductions that made it possible. So, yeah, with Joe's policies, it will never happen.

Never mind the 33% record third quarter growth in 2020. It was just an optical illusion.
