This is a sham trial. The odds of him being allowed to present, or argue, election fraud are zero.
I don’t think he should even give them the time of day.
As an aside, say he presents his arguments. Then what?

You don’t know if he will be able to address or not. And if it is not addressed, what is to say he is not tried again??
The Endgame is what is to happen going forward. Half the country thinks Biden legitimately won. That won’t change if it is not addressed, and how can it be addressed with the media censuring everything and everyone supporting Trump’s win? If information is presented during the trial, at least it cannot be deleted so easily.
It is not just the next election—it is the future of the United States...They are trying to eradicate any legitimacy of not only Trump, but his supporters and more important his policies.
Since the media has shut down Free speech, this may be the only venue to share with more than just the base the true story of the Steal.
Biden may be President now, but if don’t want Kamala et al. in perpetuity, this election’s results need to be addressed—explained and challenged.

True, but Mitt Romney was already one of the 5 that voted the impeachment was constitutional so he can do no more harm. The GOP Senators have put it on record that the impeachment is unconstitutional. What will they do if the dems try to add more more punishment because it is defended whole-heartedly will they say, “Oh, now it is unconstitutional because the President defended himself?”. I don’t think even the feckless Senators can go that far.

They were not going to let us re-elect Trump no matter what.
He was ending the illegal alien inundation and reversing the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) that BOTH parties have been implementing for 30 years.
If they begin this charade in the Senate, it will be transparently clear proof our Constitution is dead.
Any "trial" of Trump in the Senate is unlawful, unconstitutional. Not that that will stop any of it.
Trump is a private citizen now. The Senate has zero authority to put a private citizen on trial.

In the months preceding the Joint Session, President Trump repeatedly issued false statements asserting that the Presidential election results were the product of widespread fraud and should not be accepted by the American people or certified by State or Federal officials. Shortly before the Joint Session commenced, President Trump, addressed a crowd at the Ellipse in Washington, DC. There, he reiterated false claims that “we won this election, and we won it by a landslide”. He also willfully made statements that, in context, encouraged—and foreseeably resulted in—lawless action at the Capitol, such as: “if you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore”. President Trump’s conduct on January 6, 2021, followed his prior efforts to subvert and obstruct the certification of the results of the 2020 Presidential election. Those prior efforts included a phone call on January 2, 2021, during which President Trump urged the secretary of state of Georgia, Brad Raffensperger, to “find” enough votes to overturn the Georgia Presidential election results and threatened Secretary Raffensperger if he failed to do so.
In all this, President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of Government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of Government. He thereby betrayed his trust as President, to the manifest injury of the people of the United States.
Wherefore, Donald John Trump, by such conduct, has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy, and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office, and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law. Donald John Trump thus warrants impeachment and trial, removal from office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.

Since Trump is now a private citizen, this "impeachment" of "Donald John Trump, President of the United States" is now MOOT.
Not to mention, if chief justice Roberts really does NOT show up, the trial should be shut down immediately as the Constitution REQUIRES he preside over the trial.
This is precisely why chief justice Roberts will not being overseeing this crystal clear mockery of the Constitution. Even he....can not go along with this unconstitutionality.

Agree. This is the best news I’ve heard since the question was posed.
We lost because of people who think like you. They did it your way and here we are. In fact we have done it your way over and over and here we are. Trump could have called them out on vote fraud before the election. He could could have made demands, and the people would have backed him. Even gone out in the streets to do it. And at that time the left would not be able to call him a sore loser. If Trump wanted to do all by himself then he should have made sure that he had a plan that would work. Otherwise he should have called on the power of the people combined with his presidential power to join him.
LOL. Trump DID call out vote fraud before the election. DOJ IGNORED HIM. Like they did on literally everything else of substance the entire 4 years he was POTUS. State GOP were no better. They all gave the Dems an election fraud mulligan because they hate Trump and wanted him gone. This isn’t complicated. Occam’s razor applies here.

If Arizona’s legislature gets their way, Trump can wait until later to argue the truth which is the election was stolen from him.
