A fair point. However, the Rule of Law used to be important, and now seems to have been cast aside. If the Oligarchy adheres to the Constitution, and follows state laws, then we can’t go too far wrong. But what we see is that the laws are just for the little people. The Founders would be horrified.

I’m responding late, even though I read this yesterday but, just have to say - you have a pretty cynical opinion of our founding fathers, our providential origins and destiny - or, dare I assume, lack thereof, according to you.
