Dr. Anthony Fauci, the world’s most famous infectious disease expert, is about to get the feature film treatment from National Geographic Documentary Films and Emmy winners John Hoffman (The Weight of the Nation) and Janet Tobias (Unseen Enemy) and Academy Award winner Dan Cogan (Icarus), and two-time Academy Award nominee Liz Garbus (The Farm: Angola, USA).
The feature doc – simply called Fauci – offers a rare look inside the extensive professional career and personal life of this devoted public servant and American hero, including as he faced the biggest challenge of his life and career: the COVID-19 pandemic, an event unmatched in modern history.
The New Yorker dubbed him “America’s Doctor”, and Dr. Fauci has become his country’s most unlikely cultural icon, with his trademark mix of scientific acumen, candor, courage and integrity in the face of COVID-19. He’s been affectionately portrayed by Oscar winner Brad Pitt on SNL and memorialized by Fauci fans who’ve put his face on everything from coffee mugs to candles. His boundless energy and optimism have captured hearts and minds around the globe for his willingness to speak truth to power during an unprecedented pandemic and unprecedented presidency. But what is less known to the public is the journey that led him to where he is today.
Dr. Fauci has led the fight against every epidemic the world has faced over the past 50 years, from AIDS to SARS to Ebola, and now, COVID-19. He is the longest-serving public health leader in the U.S. and has worked under seven American presidents. He has testified before Congress more than any other person in American history.
Speaking in candid interviews, Dr. Fauci will invite viewers on a personal journey through his remarkable career, including his Brooklyn childhood working at his father’s pharmacy, his Jesuit education and of course his grueling shifts as a young resident at New York Hospital. The film also features interviews with global luminaries including President George W. Bush, Bill Gates, U2 frontman Bono, former HHS secretary Sylvia Burwell, former national security advisor Susan Rice
...U2 frontman Bono, former HHS secretary Sylvia Burwell, former national security advisor Susan Rice, NIH director Dr. Francis Collins, former CDC director Dr. Tom Frieden, key AIDS activists and organizers, and many others, including his family, friends and former patients.
“There is only one Dr. Fauci, and it is an incredible privilege to bring his inspiring, lifelong quest to cure disease and prevent outbreaks, to viewers around the world,” said co-directors Hoffman and Tobias. “This film will be an unprecedented, intimate portrait of our nation’s greatest public servant, whose relentless pursuit of truth and devotion to science has never been more important.”
For what? Being a role model for grossly obese people that have a mad love affair with a fork?
So what we are getting is a small or a little bigger than small taste of what it was like to live in the USSR
Without having to even leave the mainland. :)
If you’re told it’s true, it’s true.
The mentally ill half of America will lap it up with a spoon.

A conflicting view. My MiniMac is so old I cannot get sound anymore. Posting it here for you and for me at a later date when my new Inspiron is set up.
A documentary would be hazardous to the good doctor’s health. His head’s already massive; anything more could cause it to explode.
He’s become a narcissistic media whore
Dr Phony seems to do everything except his job.
Fing Karen.
I am having diarrhea that day.
Mad scientist that created a new disease then gets credit for “fighting” it -and destroying the economy and livelihood of a billion people.
There is a place in history for him.
The Ministry of Truth at its finest.
‘
He’s a scam artist and a Political Hack.
He encouraged people to participate in the Scared Riots.
Medicine comes way down on his list of priorities.
.
Great, I would like to know how they intend to waltz around
the fact his agency gave that Wuhan Lab funding.
First of all, why are we funding Chinese labs?
If this is true, the guy will a real gem. /s
