Dr. Anthony Fauci revised his recommendation that Americans wear two masks to further protect themselves from the coronavirus.

Fauci spoke about double masking in a video livestream interview with the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) on Thursday.

I’m yet to see anything comprehensive, with empirical data, and peer reviewed science that says that even one mask provides any effective benefit.

Here in Michigan, our HHS has TV commercials stating that masks reduce the spread by 70%(!). Yet nowhere do they disclose from what they derive that number.

So let’s assume (and I realize this is a stretch) that Fauci is an infectious disease expert with a speciality in viruses. Does that make him a fabric filter efficiency expert? Who knows more about how fabric filter works.... Fauci or the operator of the dust collector baghouse in the steel plant I’m visiting next week? I think I know where I’m heading to get all the expertise I need.

The mask has become a talisman, promoted by the various covid shamans who often disagree with one another and who often revise their teachings according to -- I can only surmise -- the phases of the moon.

I refuse to wear them anywhere. If a store or salesperson is adamant I just don't go back there.

My first act of defiance was back in April as I went into my dermatologist's office. I was the only patient in the waiting room. When the receptionist handed me the paper mask I did not put it on, and within 5 minutes I had 3 nurses SCREAMING at me to put the mask on. I left rather than put on the mask. The doctor they worked for lost at least $5,000 that day.

That was a pretty expensive mask, wouldn't you say?
