Medical Tyranny: CDC Announces All Travelers Must Wear TWO Masks, Threatens Arrest

"The coverings need to be at least two or more layers of breathable fabric secured to the head with ties, ear loops or elastic bands," CNN reports.

The Center for Disease Control has issued a new coronavirus order requiring DOUBLE masks to be worn for all forms of public transportation in the United States.

From CNN:

The CDC announced an order late Friday that will require people to wear a face mask while using any form of public transportation, including buses, trains, taxis, airplanes, boats, subways or ride-share vehicles while traveling into, within and out of the US.

The order goes into effect at 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Masks must be worn while waiting, boarding, traveling and disembarking, it said. The coverings need to be at least two or more layers of breathable fabric secured to the head with ties, ear loops or elastic bands — and scarves and bandanas do not count, the order says.

The CDC said it reserves the right to enforce the order through criminal penalties, but it “strongly encourages and anticipates widespread voluntary compliance” and expects support from other federal agencies to implement the order.

A bandana works just fine for this. If you need to rob a train or shut up the mask commies, as typically worn, a bandito mask is folded in half and tied around the back of the head. Two layers of fabric, and secured by ties. Minimal compliance achieved. And a bandito mask is far more comfortable than a disposable face diaper.

You and me, both.
A single mask is layered. A single mask already has 2 or more breathable layers. The current mask already meets the definition.

I’ll suffocate with two.

You won’t suffocate, although breathing will continue to be more difficult. The air will continue to flow in and out around the edges of the masks. That’s why glasses fog up.

This isn’t limited to planes. It’s planes, trains, buses, taxis, etc.

If I’m on an airplane or a bus or whatever, I’m not likely to be walking briskly.

Why do reports keep saying you have to wear two masks. I read this as it needs to be A two-layered mask. One mask, double layers.

Ever run to catch a train? Ever have to run from a train on platform 8, go down the stairs, sprint 50 yards, then climb the stairs to platform 2, then march eight pullman cars back to the one with your reserved seat - all while lugging a 50-lb suitcase and a 2-y-o child?

Yes but in her infinite wisdom she has retained a compassionate boot on the necks of the restorant owners at 25% capacity. Many or most still heading for bankruptcy.

NO. It has been done, with more than one study in NY.

The earliest study was earlier in 2020 with a study of Covid-19 hospitalized folks. Part of the survey was about their lifestyle changes since the pandemic started.

The largest portion of those hospitalized was NOT with those still going to work everyday as part of the “essential” businesses allowed to stay open. Those would have included tons of folks taking the subways and buses to and from work. No, they were not the largest category hospitalized. THAT category (66%) was folks who said they had been staying home most of the time and were not working.

A second contact tracing study was done much later in 202 with about 14,000 who had tested positive. Again the largest % were found to have gotten their infection in the home. The second largest was with those working in the health care &/or nursing home industries. Together the at home and health care/nursing care categories were about 80% of the cases.

It all does make sense.

The usual route to an infection that results in an illness is (a) close contact in close quarters, (b) with someone infected and at least beginning symptoms, (c) over some sustained period of time.

Knowing that demonstrates that “at home quarantine” is obviously wrong if someone does not live alone. The hospital industry needs to rent space in temporary unused offices and set up “quarantine” dorms where folks can remain away from their home for 14 days. It would not require any medical care there at the dorms, as anyone who begins symptoms can be immediately transferred out, at least to an isolated ward until the symptoms pass or they need hospitalization. “At home” is what seems to be the really great multiplier. The numbers show that.

Funny.

I actually have a medical exception for this...

Besides, the CDC doesn’t have law enforcement powers and cannot create a law out thin air...

Seriously...I did a drop-off at the UPS Store yesterday. Parked in the parking lot, got out and walked across the parking lot (I tend to park a long way out to get away from the door-dingers). I masked up just outside the door and walked in. I wear those blue, double layer medical-style masks that our medical professional kid drops off by the handful. I had trouble catching my breath while inside. Kinda surprised me a little.
