Michael Osterholm, who was a member of the Biden Transition COVID-19 Advisory Board, gave a second opinion after Dr. Anthony Fauci said last week that doubling up on face masks “likely” provides more protection than wearing just one mask.

"When we talk about double masking, remember what we're really talking about is just trying to prevent the virus from being excreted by me into the air or me inhaling the virus from someone else in the air, and it's both a function of face fit and face filtration," Osterholm said during an interview Sunday on NBC's Meet the Press.

If you add on another mask, you may actually make it tougher for the air to move through the two-cloth area, and then at that point, it causes more air to actually leak around the sides, which actually enhances your ability to get infected," Osterholm said.

It was in response to Fauci saying the Biden administration was not starting from scratch on the vaccine like they claimed.

I think that Fauxi's line of 'thinking' was that far to many people WEREN'T wearing masks so if he suggested 2 or 3, the sheep would fall in just showing how vulnerable they really are while - in the typical 'LIB'think - those that weren't wearing one would now don one and refuse to wear 2 of them but more people would fall in line and wear one.

I still say that if you are masking up to 'protect' me than what are you proving by trapping your own exhale/snot/spit etc etc and rebreathing it????
