In the Netherlands, the government isn’t responding to the reality of COVID-19. Instead, officials are responding to a possible reality in the future.
Dutch lawmakers made the decision last week to implement a draconian lockdown, complete with a 9 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. curfew — the first one enacted in the Netherlands since World War II, according to Slate. The anger is motivated, at least in part, because the government made the decision to implement the strict lockdown and its accompanying curfew despite the fact that COVID-19 cases are falling in the Dutch country.
For context, as Reuters reported, documented infections in the Netherlands have been steadily declining now for weeks. There were just under 4,000 new COVID-19 cases reported Tuesday, marking the smallest daily increase since late November.
The government, nevertheless, pushed forward with this unprecedented step because of the more contagious strain of COVID-19 beginning to spread around the Netherlands. So far, there is zero evidence to suggest “these variants cause more severe illness or increased risk of death,” according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Perhaps they did not get the news that vaccines are available now? Perhaps there is another agenda here . A hidden agenda that dare not be exposed because it is a fundamentally evil one.

Holland, land of anything goes, which set up red light districts for purchasing sex of all kinds, and which opened pot shops on every corner, now has found something it can restrict: peoples’ free movement.
Perhaps they did not get the news that vaccines are available now?
Maybe if available, the vaccines are working too well.
The vaccines if working properly might put a lot of Government Covid workers out of a job!

They couldn’t resist getting in on the despotism. One of a few COVID same countries finally succumbs.
Still waiting for Biden’s declaration of a climate crisis and for the govs to keep right on rolling. Ruling by decree is just too fun. Many here on FR begged for the COVID decrees and established that their liberties were indeed for sale it was just a matter of price.

I play an online computer game that is massively international, Real Racing 3. One of the players on my racing team lives in The Netherlands. He says that the riots have been going for several weeks now.
There are also Covid riots in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, UK.....
Seen some coverage but not much. After all, ‘they’ are so much more uh, civilized in the ‘yewwwwwwwww’. (eu)
I saw some streaming and recorded vids, and it’s 99% white people doing it.
Good! Nice to see they are growing some balls over there. How old is the crowd? Hopefully not all Boomers and Gen X'ers.
They seemed mostly older indeed.
