(CNN) Former President Donald Trump's five impeachment defense attorneys have left a little more than a week before his trial is set to begin, according to people familiar with the case, amid a disagreement over his legal strategy.

It was a dramatic development in the second impeachment trial for Trump, who has struggled to find lawyers willing to take his case. And now, with legal briefs due next week and a trial set to begin only days later, Trump is clinging to his election fraud charade and suddenly finds himself without legal representation.

I like the idea of using the show trial to speak to the country about election integrity.

BTW Defense teams usually argue both process and substance.

The talking points went out, and the entire MSM (Ministry of Truth) says what they are told to say.

I don’t know if its true or not, what I’m saying is that “numerous sources” repeating the same story doesn’t automatically give it any more credibility than if only one source reports it.

He ought to send Kayleigh McAnany with her infamous binder and have her refute every bullsh!t allegation against President Trump one by one — as if the Senators were just a bunch of retards from one of her press briefings.

There’s nothing stopping Trump’s team from making multiple points.

I think Trump is right...go all in on election fraud

This Senate will not consent to be a forum for that, I'm sure, if they were competent, his former lawyers told him that.

Since when does the Senate try private citizens? Bet they left on that principal alone. Same as John Roberts saying he could not be the Judge.

Anyways, it will keep Nancy Brain Freeze guessing.

I am a lawyer and I would be more than thrilled to represent Trump anytime anywhere. I am sure there are other lawyers around who feel the same—I know some. Politics and dirty tricks are not my area, neither is stealing elections from the people.

That said, I believe that Trump must be hiring Rats and not eloquent conservatives which is what he should do. Lin Wood and Sydney Powell have lost credibility by being to untogether on the election fraud. Guiliani is a mess. But President Donald J. Trump, please find some good CONSERVATIVE thinkers. And hire them.

Maybe he fired them all because they were idiots and hired some more. It happens.

Newsmax is one of the sources. Does that give it any credibility?

Trump needs to stay clear of this. To take part in this charade would only give it credence. It’s clearly unconstitutional, and his participation wont change a single vote on one side or the other. He’ll never get the option to argue election interference, and an easy argument can be made on the one side that it is not pertinent to the case at hand.

The table for the defense at this circus should be empty. If, by some strange occurrence he is convicted, he then should proceed through the courts and argue its Constitutionality.

Lindsey Graham walked these two Lawyers to Trump.

Graham has set up Trump repeatedly. So, it’s no surprise they bail at the eleventh hour.

That’s the Truth of the matter.

It would depend on who he hires in their place I guess.

“One wonders WHY they left.”

Just like the lawyers he tried to hire for election fraud, they and their families were probably threatened.

.
The first two walked in with Lindsey and then they reached out to the others.

I knew when I saw LIndsey Graham was involved they would turn on Trump and be sources for attacks on Trump.
