Didn’t look like meat to me. It looked like innards from some critter. I know they try to feed the rescued birds foods they’d eat in the wild.
Whatever it was, the eaglets certainly approved! :-)
Part of living in the desert. One of several reasons I could never live there. It can get pretty rough here when we have long dry spells and I suffer enough when it does. I couldn’t handle the dust in that pic you posted. OMG

Did you get through the day without losing power due to the winds? It tried to go out a few times here a few hours ago.
Were you able to head out for some fun with Gizmo?
They did seem pretty happy with the choice. I loved that the little stinkers still wanted to bonk. It’s just in their genes. They are looking so much better. Oh...and the post with the video said that they did have avian pox and they are being given antibiotics. On their eyes and in the lovely food.

When “they” allow it...never if they have their way.
It was quite a day. First off rain and storms, (Gizmo hind under the bed for a time) then the crazy winds as Mike Morgan from KFOR referred to.
Once things settled down we did have our usual day of fun at the lake.
Gizmo loves the rocks.

Gizmo rolled over some dirty spots yesterday, I couldn't get the iPhone out fast enough to catch them.
Thankfully it looks like a much quieter weather day today.
There wasn’t nearly as much bonking as they’ve done at the nest. I never saw either of them with stuffed crops like they got during that feeding. They were too busy fighting to eat. LOL
I hope it doesn’t take too long to clear up their ailment. The sooner they can be taken back to the nest, the better.
Wow, the weather cleared up nicely yesterday! We won’t have clear skies until Tuesday. Rain now, then a break for a while, and by midnight it’s supposed to be snowing.
Glad you didn’t have to go without power very long. You were lucky with the winds you had.
Fun times for Gizmo. Walking the rocks and rolling in the dirt makes for a happy lil feller. :-)
