On Tuesday, six days into Joe Biden’s administration, it became clear why Susan Rice, hitherto a foreign-policy specialist, was named director of the Domestic Policy Council. Rice — unconfirmable for a Cabinet post after her unembarrassed Sunday-show lying about the Benghazi terrorist attack — ventured into the White House press room to preview Biden’s “equity” initiative.
With one possible exception, the specific policies announced were less important than the word “equity,” invoked 19 times by Rice and nine by Biden. Ending federal private prison contracts and combating “xenophobia” against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders are small potatoes as federal policies.
Not so, perhaps, with the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing initiative, started under former President Barack Obama, repealed under former President Donald Trump and now due for spirited revival. The idea is for the feds to reverse local zoning laws and plant low-income housing in suburbs deemed insufficiently diverse.
Actually, discrimination in housing has been reduced since the 1968 federal Fair Housing Act, to the point that in metropolitan areas from Washington to Atlanta to Los Angeles, most blacks now live in suburbs, not in the central cities.
But for Rice and Biden, “equity” requires not equality of opportunity but equality of results. That’s one of the fundamental tenets of critical race theory training banned by outgoing Trumpites and reinstated by Biden on Day 1.
A lower-than-population percentage of blacks in any desirable category, explains critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi, must be the result of “systemic racism” (a term Rice used twice and Biden six times Tuesday). If you don’t agree, you’re guilty of “white fragility” and you must be a “white supremacist.”
As Andrew Sullivan trenchantly observes, “to achieve ‘equity’ you have to first take away equality for individuals who were born in the wrong identity group.

When this issue is still around more than half a century/multiple generations after the end of Jim Crow, affirmative action, etc. then you realize the government itself has determined certain groups are genetically inferior, and no longer believes they even fit - or ever will - in this economy. Our government doesn’t believe they are EQUAL.
Will whites push back? Or be kowtowed?
Maybe they need to re-plant these diversity apartments in jewish communities in New York City. Chuckie Schumer was originally elected to drive them out. Now who’s racist???

I would not use terms such as "genetically inferior", since humans can be judged by many criteria and the races overlap in most qualities. But American blacks do have an IQ one standard deviation below whites on average, and in a labor market that increasingly values intelligence, that means blacks will never have the same average income as whites (or Asians). A strong economy, as existed under Trump before covid, will help all races, but equal treatment under the law will not produce equality of results by race. Leftists are right about that. They are wrong to prioritize equality of results.

This is plainly going to be done to ruin the middleclass neighborhoods with the criminal element. Many black latino and other ethnic groups now live in these safe clean prosperous neighborhoods they are going to destroy. It doesn’t matter, everyone should be on the same poverty level so as to be better controlled

The government is undoubtedly using “genetics” by lumping them all together; it is an apt description for their policies. It isn’t just race/ethnicity; it uses the same standard for women.
Of course,not the racist dems..They get a pass on their”racism”......
This is not a race issue. It’s socio economics. Even minorities in upper middle class and upper middle class areas are not on board with this.
People tend to associate with those in similar socioeconomic circles. Regardless of race.
The Democracts failed the MLK dream about as bad as possible.
