Texas Republican Rep. Chip Roy is asking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to intervene and force Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to apologize for tweeting that Sen. Ted Cruz “almost had me murdered” during the Capitol riot.
Roy wrote to Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday that the 31-year-old Democrat, who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens, must say she’s sorry.
“[S]he accused Senator Ted Cruz, in essence, of attempted murder,” Roy wrote.

The GOP’ers are big on nonsense like this. AOC isn’t going to apologize to anyone for anything, she’s a lot like Trump in that respect. The Country Club set should use her for a learning experience.

I would LOVE to see just ONE of her followers on TV. I have never seen one or a family member or an old college chum or an old high school friend, an old neighbor, an old coworker. Do her types just drop out of the sky with no background?

It might be. Even a public figure can be defamed, they just have a higher standard of proof. Accusing him of attempted murder is at least a reckless disregard for the truth and probably actual malice.
I’m not a lawyer, but I wonder if it goes anywhere.
