The 22-year-old student whose startup landed a controversial deal with the city of Philadelphia to distribute COVID-19 vaccines admitted Thursday that he took some doses home with him — and injected his pals.
Andrei Doroshin — whose Philly Fighting COVID group administered city-issued vaccines before being booted when it emerged that it had changed its status from non-profit to for-profit — made the stunning admission on NBC’s “Today” show.

You know; I like Israel’s approach—just get vaccines in people (those who want them) ASAP. First come first serve, with some preference to the elderly. Sign up, get a text reminder, and go get it.
The United States (and each state and county) is spending so much time trying to rank order everything ad nauseum.
I’ve ran into people lately who would do anything to get the vaccine. If they knew a buddy who had access, I’ve no doubt they’d try to get some pilfered.

Ruh-roh. Somebody at NBC was asleep at the delete switch. That story makes Philadelphia look bad. And Philadelphia is a Democrat stronghold. It certainly never should have been aired.
Doesn’t it have to be kept in a freezer at -70 degrees right up to the time it’s used?

Standard Christian medical ethics say this:
When treatment, such as a vaccine, is in short supply, it should be given first to those whose lives are most apt to be saved.
For Covid, that is old people first, with some consideration for others who are at high risk. Diabetes, overweight, smokers, etc.
That means that when you jump the line you are recklessly endangering another person. In most states that’s felony. Unless the CDC says its okay, like when they have it given to teachers, congress, members of the military, etc. But whether or not the CDC says its okay, it’s evil

The elderly and others who are at risk for serious complications from COVID-19 benefit from a reduced spread when others have been vaccinated. There is no benefit to them from having millions of vaccine doses sitting in a freezer waiting for Susan Kramer of 421 South 41st Street Portland, ME to show up to get dose #21,987,258.
In the US, we currently have over 22 million vaccine doses sitting in freezers. It’s been demonstrated conclusively that those in charge are too incompetent to get them out to those who would most immediately benefit from them. Thus, the alternative is to send them all to CVS and Walgreens and get those doses out to everyone who wants them, which will immediately reduce the spread and reduce the risk of elderly folks getting exposed in the first place.
That’s not evil. That’s choosing the path that does the most good most quickly.

No. We don’t just dump everything on CVS and WalMart and hope for what ever you are hoping for.
I just don’t want the vaccine so everybody can inject everybody and their brother as far as I’m concerned....go for it..
Each of us has the right to make our own choices about what’s best for our own health and wellbeing, and I fully support your decision even if it differs from my own.
My only goal is to defuse the fearmongering that gets spread and help people make their own choices with facts. What they choose to do with those facts is their own business.
