In his first week in office, President Biden’s administration froze a plan that was promoted by the Trump administration as reducing the cost of insulin. In doing so, he raised the cost of the life-saving medication to around $1000 per month, which isn’t manageable for most families, especially in a massive economically deprive epidemic that’s impacted millions of American’t livelihoods.

I take a couple of small doses per day that I get from the VA with a small co-pay . I had NO IDEA that it normally costs that much.

The much-reviled Walmart sells me genuine Novo Nordisk insulin over the counter for......(wait for it)......$25.00 per vial. A month's supply for me adds up to less than $100, and I'm no small user.
That's in Ohio, where state law allows. But if I were to go to the big chain pharmacy nearer by, they will ask $100+ a vial and still they demand a prescription anyway.

Insulin has been available since 1922. The first synthetic insulin was created in 1978. Therefore it is not under patent and should be easily available and inexpensive.
Get a GoodRX card, you will find out that the big two drug store chains have the highest Rx prices.
