Sens. Tim Kaine and Susan Collins are privately pitching their colleagues on a bipartisan resolution censuring former President Trump, three sources familiar with the discussions tell Axios.
Why it matters: Senators are looking for a way to condemn Trump on the record as it becomes increasingly unlikely Democrats will obtain the 17 Republican votes needed to gain a conviction in his second impeachment.

I did a cursory search and could find “NO” cases or authority for the congress to censure a private citizen. It is not in the constitution nor in the rules of the house or senate. I would think that censuring a private citizen is also a bill of attainder.

President Trump had everything to lose and nothing to gain. He ran for the presidency to drain the swamp. And by that he meant to expose the corruption of the deep state. And overturn entrenched political class system that incentivize politicians into the corruption of the media/government cooperative. The public money that flows to the deep state infrastructure he interrupted and nothing make them angrier.
There’s no more sincere endorsement to the american citizenry, than the hatred of the greedy deep state politicians squealing because they didnt get slopped.
