I think he and we are starting to understand how low the rats will go. Some of the mistakes in my life were because I assumed people would act the way I would, with some sense of morality. It hard to learn this isn’t true.
Even with the milquetoast Republicans, I doubt you get 60 votes on leftist bills. Fifty-five? Sure. Sixty? I doubt it.
It would certainly water down Biden’s agenda. It would prevent anti second amendment legislation. It would prevent the wholesale passage of the House’s HR 1.
Those two Senate seats in GA were very important.

My County GOP will be holding an emergency meeting on February 6, to draft a Resolution of Censure against Senator Ben Sasse (R - NE).
Sasse has seriously P.O’d many Nebraskans. I have now received several calls and e-mails from various individuals, who reside in counties within my State Central Committee district, requesting info on joining the NE GOP - including a few soon-to-be former Democrats! I am being sent donations to help fund our county GOP. These people want to toss Sasse out of office, like yesterday.
In my 15 years of involvement in Nebraska politics, I have not known this level of political anger, or desire to get involved. I doubt the Democrats have the slightest clue as to the fire they have ignited.
Yes,all of them should but today’s vote shows that that won’t happen.I think that 45 is the best we can hope for.

They voted to move forward with the trial, not on the constitutionality necessarily. Rand Paul moved that the trial must be stopped due to it being unconstitutional. These senators disagreed, and voted to move forward. The media is trying to make it look like they voted on “constitutionality” when, in fact they voted to continue to try to get revenge on our real president, constitution be damned.

Sasse did not have a strong primary challenger. The guy was a decent Republican, but he had no experience running a campaign, and received no help from the establishment Sasse-supporting NE GOP.
Oh, they will try to do away with the 60 super number.
