Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser on COVID-19, said two face masks are likely more effective than one against the novel coronavirus, despite significant uncertainty on the subject.
"If you have a physical covering with one layer, you put another layer on it just makes common sense that it likely would be more effective," Fauci told NBC News on Monday.
Infectious disease experts from Stanford Health Care, Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins University recently told Fox News there is little to no evidence on the issue.

I think a strip of duct tape across Fauci’s nose and mouth would be perfect protection.
So even if masks work (and I know there is a lot of doubt), most likely any virus getting through is not coming through the mask but around the mask. Adding another layer is not going to get rid of any gaps and may actually increase them.
A properly fitting N95 mask would likely reduce the chance of getting the virus but the crappy masks that people wear, you could put a dozen on and that would not help.
According to Forbes magazine, Dr. Doom is the highest paid federal employee. His salary clocks in at over 400 grand annually.

Doubling down on STUPID
The first masks I bought were disposable - "made in Wuhan China"... printed right there on the box. I saved it as a memento to insanity...
At first I sort of ignored this guy. Recently I went back and watched some older videos of his interviews. Almost every answer he gives is noncommittal broad based generalities. As a registered nurse, I have basic medical knowledge, and I promise you that I could create the same answers to questions that he does. It’s really incredible!!
