That's 21 left, which could put Trump in jeopardy. My idiot Senators in North Carolina are not on the list...

I hope they convict in the Senate, with Leahy as “judge” while Roberts skips the trial. Far too many on the right believe that somehow what’s proper legally and constitutionally will prevail. This was my worse nightmare from a year ago, which sadly has become all too real.

No Mitch McConnell on that list.

RE: Epoch Times: 29 GOP Senators Oppose Trump Trial

Not a good sign. That means there’s potentially 17 or more Senators who could convict Trump.

Neither Roberts or Harris are presiding over this farce.

Sen. Patrick Leahy To Preside Over Trump's Senate Impeachment Trial

There was another story claiming Republican Senators want a secret ballot.

Chief Justice Roberts says he will not preside over this “trial,” and the Constitution says the CJ “shall” preside over the Senate trial. “Shall” legally means CJ presiding is not optional, it’s mandatory.

So now these spiteful idiots appoint angry senile Leaky Leahy to be the presiding impartial “judge?”

Are these hateful Democrats on LSD or crystal meth? WTH is wrong with them? I knew they were evil deranged lunatics before this, but they’re really outdoing themselves this time.

Too bad they didn’t oppose certifying Mr. Potato Head to the Oval Office.

The trial is fine, since it gives Trump the chance to finally make his case (in fact, it’s the only way to even publicly discuss voter fraud, since our new masters took over. The only real question is whether 17 of the 21 remaining Republicans will choose to vote themselves out of a job.

That’s a bit bunch for the Democrats to try to take control over, especially considering how they’re otherwise being treated now that Dems run the place (thanks again, Lin Wood, by the way).

Yep. Plus the idea of a “secret vote” to shelter the MAGA backstabbers.

I don’t see Kansas Senator Jerry Moran. He is up for reelection in 2022 I would assume if he does not support this issue he will have a tough time getting reelected in 2022. Currently there are no announced challengers but it would not surprise me to see former governor Jeff Colyer whore Secretary of State Mike Pompeo challenge Jerry Moran

Any Republican senator who voted to convict Trump will not be able to walk down the street.

The list isn’t final. We only need 5 more to join the list. They will.

We all know Congress can’t legally or constitutionally do this as Trump is now a private citizen. However, we no longer live in a constitutional republic. The Dems can do anything they want and get away with it.

Concur - what a pair of empty suits.

Both are in the pocket of big business.

Gave up writing to Burr a couple of years after he was first elected. His answers were always squishy.

I feel left out of this sham impeachment of private citizens.

How much would it cost me to get impeached? I want to go to Washington D.C., plead "Deplorable", get impeached, and get the T-shirt. Maybe I could get a ribbon for it and add it to my military records.

If you can fraudulently impeach citizens AFTER they're in office, why not impeach candidates BEFORE they're in office?

The Republican Senate will NOT vote to convict Trump.

There will be a few assholes. Not enough to convict him.

If they were smart(HA HA!) they would use any opportunity to speak to launch attacks on Joe Biden and Democrat policies.

Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana is not on the list, but I assume he opposes the trial based on previous comments, and he is up for re-election next time.

Only 29 out of 50? That infuriates me. Too many (Rs) seem to be fine with having a banana republic America.

Why is this even be discussed when Chief Justice John Roberts won’t participate but is required to, constitutionally?

Local GOPs, where are you and why aren’t you speaking up?
