First of all, thank you for your service.. Second of all your correct. That shooter could have approached her and she likely crawls back by herself or he could have even shoved her back and the cop next to her could have grabbed her. The cop next to her could have and should have pulled her back. And the shooting itself was strange to me the way he lunged forward and shot, then jumped back, almost untrained. He was in a resting shooting position and came forward only a foot or so. I maybe reading to much into it but the whole thing was weird.

This officer decided the doors he was behind was a line.... He was shooting anyone who crossed it no matter what...
An unarmed woman crossed it, he killed her.
He had NO excuse for this... and the fact he’s only facing a charge of “excessive force” for this killing is repugnant.
That's a freaking lie. He was standing there with his weapon drawn all the time the cops were standing in front of the windows, watching what was going on. He never responded when two agitators were smashing the windows of the doors, one using a helmet. All this was done while the 3 cops were still in front of the door. The agitators were leaning in, and reaching over the shoulders of the cops to hit the windows. Yet, this guy, who claims he didn't know 3 cops were outside the door, didn't fire at the individuals smashing the windows? The video tells a different story buddy. And if he couldn't see who was there, as he claims, then he never should have fired his weapon without knowing who he was shooting at. You never fire your weapon unless you know where that bullet is going to end up.
There was no crowd surging. It was one person. This is pure horse$hit.
It was absolutely clear from the video, this officer was unloading on ANYONE who crossed his imaginary line... no matter who, why or how...
This woman did, and he fired, period.
This was a BAD SHOOT, on every level.
Fact he is ONLY facing “excessive force” charges, and the fact their name has not been formally released, even though DC law requires all fatal shootings involving LEO’s to release the name of the officer, tells you all you need to know about this... They are covering this up, and protecting the shooter.
Bad Shoot.. he need named, and face true justice for his actions.
I am not without empathy, looking at the film this guy was clearly scared out of his mind... he acted like a military member, not a law enforcement officer. This was not a war zone.
He was black.
The information is out there, albeit not as much as there was a week ago, but more than there will be next week.

This is ridiculous. The guy was aiming and had plenty of time to see what was going on. He didn’t look black to me or even like a cop, btw, but was an older white guy in a suit with French cuffs and distinctive cufflinks. Whoever he was, he aimed and fired directly at her.
What many people may not have noticed is that the police officers behind her, who were uniformed and in SWAT gear, obviously didn’t consider her a threat. Their weapons (long guns) weren’t even up. However, after she was shot out of the window, while some of them went to help her, another was giving the cop or military silent hand signals to people on the other side of the window.
I assume he was trying to find out if it was a “friendly” shot or from the agitators who had broken the window (although it didn’t seem that there were any of them left in the hallway at that point).
I agree she shouldn’t have been there, but on the other hand, she clearly wasn’t armed and wasn’t dangerous. Whoever shot her, certainly not by accident, needs to be brought up on charges. This sure needs to be investigated.
Can you imagine what would happen if a BLM “demonstrator” had been shot?

there waS a response- one officer or guard was freaked out at first- swinging his gun i nthe direction from whwrer the shot happened- but quickly saw who shot her, and then lowered his gun again and calmed down

Ashli Babbitt was assassinated. The killer was a sharpshooter, a marksman who shot Ashli Babbitt in the carotid artery. Her torso would have been a larger target but he chose to go for the kill. It appears the killer was a black man wearing a white French cuffed shirt with gold cufflinks.
I believe it is the law that if the shooter is a police officer, his or her name must be released within 2 days. Since the killers name has not been released he probably is a Democrat staffer or an FBI agent. As American citizens we have the right to know. Phone your Senator or Congressperson and demand answers.
There was no “surge”. The video shows the woman looking through the window when she was shot by a black man on the other side to her left.
The video is not as clear as it might be, but that's what I think it shows.

After posting my Comments, I read that one of the mob "leaders," the guy in the horned helmet, was apparently urging her to climb through.
The horned helmet guy is a professional rabble-rouser who has also appeared at BLM and Antifa demonstrations.
My perception is that 95% of the sincere Trump supporters inside the Capitol are only guilty of unlawful entry or disobeying Police officers.
Almost none of them engaged in violent or destructive actions or in theft.
He is a Capitol Hill Police Lieutenant.....................
