I live in the district that is supposed to be represented by Adam Kitzinger. I will never ever ever ever ever vote for Adam Kitzinger again, or support any political party he belongs to. And while I don't know everybody in the district and can't speak for all of them, I would expect that the support for Adam had dropped since the election. The district is changing, and Kitzinger's recent behavior could swing the next election to the Democrat.
And this will be reflected in other places, like Wyoming.
So are we better off losing a few cycles and getting a new party in place, or "working within the party to effect change"?
The Republicans replaced the Whigs. The Republican Party was founded in 1854, lost the 1856 presidential election, then won 1860, 1864, 1868, 1872, 1876, and 1880 before losing one election in 1884. The Whig party was substantially gone by 1862.
Or we can hope that Kitzinger, Liz Cheney, Pierre Delecto Romney, Paul Ryan, and the list goes on all fall off their horse on the way to Damascus. I suppose that could happen, but God helps those who help themselves more often than He helps those who wait for Paul to fall off his horse.

Receiving much less notice is a RadDem bureaucrat in the Dept. of Interior stopping leasing and permitting of fossil fuel extraction on federal lands for at least 60 days (supposedly only temporary). In New Mexico, about 50 percent of oil and gas production occurs on federal lands and finances about 40 percent of the state's government (most of the other revenue comes from tourism [shut down by our RadDem Gov] and federal government largess [national labs, military bases and Indian lands]).
Notwithstanding the evidence in their face, here is what two of the NM RadDem Congress critters had to say in support of cutting jobs and revenue in the state. They are truly unconcerned about the coming devastation to working men and women, and their families this will cause.
Rep. Deb Haaland, D-N.M., Biden’s nominee for secretary of the Interior, didn’t respond to a request for comment on the order handed down from the department she may soon be running.
But during her most recent campaign for Congress, Haaland took a hard line against the fossil fuel industry.
She said in a Journal questionnaire last year that the industry has made billions while putting communities in harm’s way, and that she supports a ban on fracking. She also has said that America’s public lands are sacred spaces that belong to all Americans and should be protected.
