Your post #12 argues against a new party, and that we should work loyally within the existing structure. So goodbye.

I live in the district that is supposed to be represented by Adam Kitzinger. I will never ever ever ever ever vote for Adam Kitzinger again, or support any political party he belongs to. And while I don't know everybody in the district and can't speak for all of them, I would expect that the support for Adam had dropped since the election. The district is changing, and Kitzinger's recent behavior could swing the next election to the Democrat.

And this will be reflected in other places, like Wyoming.

So are we better off losing a few cycles and getting a new party in place, or "working within the party to effect change"?

The Republicans replaced the Whigs. The Republican Party was founded in 1854, lost the 1856 presidential election, then won 1860, 1864, 1868, 1872, 1876, and 1880 before losing one election in 1884. The Whig party was substantially gone by 1862.

Or we can hope that Kitzinger, Liz Cheney, Pierre Delecto Romney, Paul Ryan, and the list goes on all fall off their horse on the way to Damascus. I suppose that could happen, but God helps those who help themselves more often than He helps those who wait for Paul to fall off his horse.

If we form a new party, we need to jump through hoops to collectively get local, state and federal candidates into the voting day matrix.

Just about any FReeper would make a great candidate!

Without a group of Congressmen to promote and advocate bills for the new party, the new party president has to fight both the republicans and democrats.

Much like Trump.

Still, he would have prevailed in all sorts of ways, and us too, if only he had loyal supporters not beholden to radical Leftist dems or go-along-to-get-along RINOs.

In the real world, where most of us live, you have some options.

1. PRIMARIES - register as R and try to remove incumbents, as this is where it can be done most easily - Voter turnout during the PRIMARY is crucial

2.Should the Incumbent R. survive the PRIMARY, now you have to make some more choices - VOTE - down ballot places are important - but either vote D or leave blank the choice for U.S. House / Senate

Why not go and become a member of your local Republican committee? It will be better to fight inside the party than starting a third party. Yes, it might take up family time, but it is time Conservatives take back the GOP from the RINOs...

Third party will just help the MARXISTS.
