First, we talked to Roger Villere this afternoon and he said that while he’d had discussions with Sancha Smith about working the 5th District race for her, he hadn’t made any agreement to do so as of now – so something which had a decent bit of traction in Republican circles can have its brakes tapped at this point.
And second, Claston Bernard is now in the 2nd District race. He qualified this afternoon. He’s the right guy for the GOP to run in that district, and in the right circumstances he could be the guy who can steal it – especially if this is more than just a one-off. We’ll describe how, in detail, in a future post.”

BATON ROUGE, LA. (AP) — Gov. John Bel Edwards has officially called a March 20 special election for Louisiana voters to select two new members of the U.S. House, with an April 24 runoff if needed.
The Democratic governor announced Wednesday that he had signed the proclamations setting the special congressional elections. He used dates already planned for municipal elections.
Candidates can sign up for the races during a Jan. 20 through Jan. 22 qualifying period. If no candidate tops 50% of the vote in each March election, the April runoff will be held.
Oh, there are ‘other races’ going on right now?
Nope, those are all done. All the other members of Congress are in. We have a seven seat deficit to the corrupt democrats.
So these two races are the first chance we have to start to narrow the gap.

You seem to be confusing the news from two weeks ago announcing the race, with the current breaking news of who the actual candidates are in the race.
So when did that happen?

Candidate qualification was Wed to Frid: “ Jan. 20 through Jan. 22 qualifying period. ”
Qualifications closed on late Friday (5pm)
I posted the information on Saturday ! The day after we had a full list of all the candidates in the race.
Would you have preferred I link to the Secretary of State site ?
That is just a jumble of names with no information.
So Instead I used a popular local news/information blog that was started on Wed and was then updated as the candidates rolled in.
I posted all of the relevant information on our top candidates in each of the two races.
Keep on crying, but the fact remains, you posted a link to a blog as breaking news.
