Former Vice President Joe Biden now says he supports travel bans to contain the Chinese coronavirus after all – after he previously called the China travel ban issued by President Donald Trump in late January “xenophobia.”
Deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield told CNN on April 3 that Biden “supports travel bans that are guided by medical experts, advocated by public health officials and backed by a full strategy,” adding, “Science supported this ban, therefore he did too.”
Was that before or after looking at a poll that said Trump would do a better job dealing with this crisis than Biden?
Asking for the potentially hundreds of thousands of American lives President Trump saved by acting decisively in the early days of this pandemic at a time Biden was hysterically complaining about “reactionary” travel restrictions.
And why wasn’t Biden the first one explaining his new position on this issue? Why tell us now? And why pretend he was in favor of it all along when he never supported it at the time? Why not just admit he was wrong?
Biden not only didn’t support the ban, he explicitly opposed it, repeatedly saying it was unscientific, even though it turns out it ultimately was backed up by the science. Which, you don’t need a medical degree to understand. It’s just common sense.
Travel restrictions are just another form of social distancing from those traveling from the hotspot at the time, which was China, to prevent the American people from coming into contact with others who had been exposed to the virus, just as not going to work if you’re sick might.

Fortunately, I get the strong impression you (Fauci) had little input into plans for Operation Warp Speed.
I did a google search the other day for early statements from Fauci and it appears that they have pushed many of his early statements off of the first few google pages.
Fauci contradicted himself monthly and it appears that the trend will continue. Even the liberal media of 10 years ago would be all over him for this, but the new media suppresses and ignores the incompetence. That is what it is.
We know for certain -
He believed his Chinese counterparts and dismissed the virus at the outset.
He was adamant (and correct by the way) that the science showed masks did not work to prevent the spread.
He was against the travel ban, but later admitted in a moment of clarity that it saved many lives.
He touted a short-term lockdown as you point out to “slow the spread.”
There are many others and eventually you will be able to add the HCQ treatment to the list as the science has been quite clear throughout the world that it works if used early. Fauci will admit this.
The guy is a chameleon who can change colors in a second.

Dr. Simone Gold has a different perspective about Dr. Fauci. He is responsible for the deaths of thousands along with Cuomo.
Fauci was only one member of the White House Task Force to make recommendations of pandemic matter, chaired by VP Pence. But we never hear from the other members, only Fauci.
He said the use of Hydroxychlorquine wasn’t effective when doctors around the world were treating patients with it to great success. What a liar. I lay Fauci at Pence’s feet. I’d say Fauci is the one responsible for the deaths.
Withholding info on the effectiveness of 3 different drugs that kill off the virus.
Ignoring the fact that a simple compound available for 10 cents a day will build up people's immune system and fight it off.....
Hundreds of thousands of lives could have been saved if you'd allowed the truth out there instead of standing around smirking and smiling.
