Biden Admin Defies Science with New Addition to White House Website
The Western Journal ^ | JANUARY 21, 2021 | CHRISTINE FAVOCCI

The pompous idiots on the political left act as if their belief in “science” confers unimpeachable credibility on whatever disastrous policy they’re bloviating about at any given time.

Whether it’s man-made global warming or the efficacy of lockdowns, face masks or hydroxychloroquine for fighting COVID-19, they shut down debate, insisting that their version of “science” has all the definitive answers — even when it doesn’t.

And yet when it comes to their asinine social justice agenda, anything remotely scientific, rational or commonsense is quickly replaced with whatever the prevailing political winds are blowing toward at the moment.

The worst of such insanity currently embraced by the left — including President Joe Biden and his brand new Democratic administration — is the ridiculous, warped, make-believe fictional nonsense that a person can change his or her gender.

Aside from the other policy disasters centered around such a belief, one small but significant area where this anti-scientific belief popped up was on the White House website’s contact form.

On the day Biden took office, changes to the site included the addition of “Mx.” as a possibility for a prefix, as well as the ability to choose from a list of pronouns like “they/them,” “other” and “prefer not to share.”

Political activist and podcaster Kyle Kashuv tweeted a photo of the new choices on the dropdown menu, astutely writing, “The Party of Science™!”

Notably, a New York Times piece about all of the splendid changes made to the website on day one of the administration listed the pronoun choices just above another change that seems contradictory.

“The Biden administration will ensure we meet the demands of science, while empowering American workers and businesses to lead a clean energy revolution,” The Times quoted from the website.

Millions out of work, not allowed to work, and they see fit to screw around with this BS.

Two words that democrats continue to bastardize on a daily basis: science and unconstitutional.

Democrats don’t believe in either science or the constitution. But, they do believe that using the words science and unconstitutional, will give them a sense of ‘truth’ and a sense of invincibility.

There was a most excellent article posted on how "settled science" wasn't so settled, wherein:

seems that Earth has been misplaced. According to a new map of the Milky Way galaxy, the Solar System's position isn't where we thought it was. Not only is it closer to the galactic centre - and the supermassive hole therein, Sagittarius A* - it's orbiting at a faster clip.

It further noted other "errors" in SCIENCE:

A good recent example of this is the red giant star Betelgeuse, which turned out to be closer to Earth than previous measurements suggested. This means that it's neither as large nor as bright as we thought. Another is the object CK Vulpeculae, a star that exploded 350 years ago. It's actually much farther away, which means that the explosion was brighter and more energetic, and requires a new explanation, since previous analyses were performed under the assumption it was relatively low energy

Next time some dope spouts off about science, remind them "SCIENCE IS NOT MATHEMATICS."

The pompous and phony Left has all but destroyed the credibility of legit science with trash science such as man-made global warming.

I can't take credit for it. There was a recent post on social sciences, that featured this brilliant give and take involving a Harvard faculty member critical of Charles Murray from the original article, that is worth reprinting - it is with regard to the "certainty of SCIENCE":

"so why should we let someone teach social science that we know to be wrong in our social science courses?"

Because it is possible that you are wrong.
Science is not mathematics. Newtonian physics was wrong. And social science is a further three rungs down in certainty from science.

Your level of certainty and arrogance about what can be said, and probably thought, smacks of religion, and not science. This is a political religion that permeates academia at the moment. And which I am fairly sure you will swear does not infect you, while the rest of us can see the symptoms quite plainly.

Only religions ban heretics from speaking because of the wrong-think they might cause. Real science loves a good heretic. In fact, honestly, the entire goal of science is to be a heretic. To have an idea that no other person ever had. Science is the pretty much the antithesis of your thought-police approach.

And most of academia used to be the antithesis of your thought police approach as well, until the religion of leftism took it over, with the direct help of people like you.

As a scientist for the past 30 years in a not-so-complicated area of materials science and packaging engineering you will find many of your technical reports and publications to be incorrect or incomplete. You cannot use the “appeal to authority” argument to validate your position, even if you are the authority.

Math is the thing they hate when we try to explain how they stole the election.

From your post: "Real science loves a good heretic. In fact, honestly, the entire goal of science is to be a heretic."

Which also explains why the man-caused global warming, climate change, whatever..."smacks of religion, and not science."

I'm a retired geologist...minerals exploration industry...and I have always argued that religion is based on faith, science is based on doubt.

Good stuff, thanks.
