Rachel Garcia, the great-niece of farm workers’ union organizer Cesar Chavez, is grateful that President Joe Biden chose a bust of her famous relative to place behind the Resolute desk in the Oval Office — but she has no idea why he did so.
Biden, like President Barack Obama before him, removed a bust of the legendary British Prime Minister Winston Churchill from the Oval Office, a symbol of the special relationship between the United States and Great Britain.
He placed the Chavez bust on the table behind his desk, among portraits of his family members, where it will be seen by anyone meeting with him and will be captured by photographers’ lenses or television cameras in national TV addresses.
Yet Biden has little known association with Chavez. The civil rights leader, who is a prominent hero among many Latinos, is not mentioned once in Biden’s 2007 political memoir, Promises to Keep, which recounted his Senate career to that point.

The U.S. Navy named a ship for Chavez, a veteran, in 2012. Notably, Chavez opposed illegal immigration, seeing it as a threat to the wages of unionized workers legally present in the United States.

The Churchill bust (that was removed) has an ironic twist to it.
It was Churchill who used every trick in the book to draw the US into WW II—and some historians believe (and I am convinced) that the British had broken the entire Japanese code before Pearl Harbor and kept the missing pieces from the US to make sure the Japanese attack was successful.
It was a stab in the back by a friend, just like President Trump kept getting stabbed in the back by supposed “friends” in DC.

Easy enough - ask for it. Have a columnist make a specific request to Xiden, "A descendant has asked for her grandfather's bust. If you had a soul, you would box it up and send it to her, so she can properly memorialize her grandfather."
Who care if she wants it or not - sand in the vaseline. Every moment of every day - sand in the vaseline. The no-info/low-info live in a post-truth clickbait society, just simply feed the beast.
I bet Biden has no idea that Chavez and his brother used to stake out the border and beat with baseball bats any illegals they encountered. The “woke” leftists in recent years have tried to turn Cesar Chavez into some kind of hero of illegal immigration, but he hated it because it was competition for his farm workers union. In fact, he used to hand out dimes to the unionized field workers so that they could call him if they saw illegals working anywhere.
I’ve also been amazed (though I guess in hindsight I shouldn’t have been) that Republicans have not made a huge issue of Chavez’s opposition to illegal immigration. The Left would lose their minds trying to square their worship of him with their support of the illegal invasion. But given what we’ve seen lately of Republican cowardice, I suspect they just let it go because they were terrified of being called a name.
