With the second bogus impeachment in the books, the Washington Post has finally seen fit to admit that President Trump did not incite the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6 with his speech, acknowledging that it was, in fact, planned in advance.
The article, published Tuesday, the day before Biden’s inauguration, declares in its headline “Self-styled militia members planned on storming the U.S. Capitol days in advance of Jan. 6 attack, court documents say” and opens with the following paragraphs.

There is a difference between your take and mine; I do believe that they are going to go after those that they can ID as “domestic terrorists”, which no one will really object to...

But yeah, POTUS kamalalaladingdong has been the operational objective and with no doubt Sleepy Joe shuffling off to where ever later this year, POTUS Harris through 2033 (at which point I’m sure POTUS for life will be legal) and there you go.

It was obvious that President Trump’s speech did not encourage anyone to attack anyone. Any dolt can read it and find zero lines suggesting anything like attacking Congress. (Not that they shouldn’t be out on their ear for being lying puppets of the oligarchy.)
Lynn Cheney and her group of cowardly republicans knew this. She’s not stupid.
So, what was her game? Why go public in a purely Republican district with an obvious lie? What did she hope to gain?
The only thing that makes sense to me is that these people are not conservative in the least. They must be progressives, and they were taking one for that team.
It’s a tactical call - they want to keep Trump out of the news. The lies worked, now the coverup.

Official circulation figures are used to attract and set charges for advertisers. A few thousand free copies count as circulation. I wonder how many people really pay for the print papers? Esquire and others charge a loss amount to get a lot of subscribers so they can boast about the numbers.
It seems to be really hard to get people to pay for the online ones. They threaten if you happen by chance onto a link “Four more free articles. See our sale on three month subscription.” Before I swore off Drudge (this dates my info.) I hated getting a NYT,LA Times or WaPo article after an innocent looking clickbait link.
My theory is like music which was free, then stolen by young people, then the legal price of $0.99 ,then $1.29 seemed like a lot. I still refuse their streaming subscriptions.
The print journals of newspapers used to have the articles all over the internet-—for free (1996-1999 or so). Then they realized they were laying off hundreds of staff and losing money, so they clamped down. For online issue subscriptions pay $69.99 for Newsweek, $89.50 for Time, $49 for Rolling Stone-—and more.
But what used to be free and now is charged money to get seems expensive. Music or reading matter.

Maybe plant stories such as “Biden said to a source those Antifa and BLM thugs are really weakling eunuchs and he won’t put up with their crap much longer.” “Antifa said to an insider that Biden supporters are fair game for anti-imperialist violent action as it sees fit.”

The Democrat donors funnel money to them to maintain them as the leftist radical “fringe” so that the equally radical Democrats can appear, superficially, to be moderate. As in, “We’re not communists. Those guys and gals in black carrying Antifa flags are the communist. See? They hate us for being too moderate.” In reality, the real communist threat is from these “moderates,” not the useful young idiots wearing black and carrying skateboards.
